The lobby and restaurant area was nice and new; however the rooms were a bit dated. They could use a little updating

I've been to several hotels over the years and this one had an unusual/confusing layout. And. the halls to the rooms are very long with centralized lifts. Someone on the staff with a master key knocked at our door and quickly entered the room before we could answer?! It's a good that I was dressed! The one restaurant off the lobby was very expensive and only offered breakfast buffet for over 20 pound, no a'la cart items were offered. This is lost revenue for them. And, they only offer a few expensive dishes fro dinner. I'd guess they're banking on those that don't want to walk any distance to the local offerings. Overall it was o-k, I wouldn't stay there again.
