This ESA was in a convenient location for our trip and the price was good. However, the facility was in poor to bad condition, the staff was ok at best, and the whole trip was dicey...making us wish we had paid a few extra bucks to stay elsewhere. When we arrived in our room, there was a smoke alarm hanging from the ceiling and beeping, and a roach on the ground. The staff moved us next door, but didn't consider we could still hear the smoke alarm, so we removed it for them. the new room was damp and musty smelling. we had to leave the AC on low to make the smell go away. The room and bed were ok, but old. The shower water was hot and good pressure, but the fan in the bathroom was so loud (not working loud, but broken loud) that we turned off the light and used the light from the kitchen most times. When they say breakfast I wasn't expecting much, but I guess it is an ESA thing to provide dry packets of oatmeal and prepackaged muffins. Not really breakfast. All in all, my wife made me pay for selecting this Extended Stay America and saving some money.

having discussed my needs that night to the owner and one of his employees - Knowing full well I needed - a handicap room on the first floor cause My husband was having an angioplasty the following morning they had me call Travelocity saying I could not rent a room there unless I went thru Travelocity They said they knew what I needed but to just get a reservation #. Once I got reservation # they said no I could not have a handicap room on the first floor that my husband had to take the stairs since elevator had been out for over 2 months. I myself have both knee replacements. I told them they well knew that was impossible. I could not stay there. The owner said my card had not been charged and that I did not have to call Travelocity to cancel. Then I checked my checking Acct and sure enough they charged my Acct. So what next.
