Visiting Hotel Circle
Jump off your flight to San Diego International Airport and find bus No. 923 outside of terminals 1 or 2. It runs every 15 minutes. Take it to the intersection of Broadway and Pacific Highway and walk to the San Diego - Santa Fe Depot. Then, get on the trolley's green line and ride four stops to the Old Town Transit Center. Switch to the No. 88 bus, which will take you along the length of Hotel Circle South. If your choice of Hotel Circles hotels is on the north side of the highway, don't worry— the route returns along the north side, so just stay on the bus. Alternatively, call your hotel to ask whether they offer a complimentary airport shuttle.
Once you arrive and settle in, rent a car in Hotel Circle and head over to check out Presidio Park, where the first European settlements in the western United States were founded in the 1700s. Not far from here you'll also find Old Town, where you can visit historical sites galore.
