The house was clean inside. The upstairs was spacious and comfortable for my 3 daughters. The bed upstairs was comfortable. The room downstairs did the job, but the bed and pillows were absolutely awful. The last night I had to move to the couch. Bring your own pillows! Upon arrival, the outside patios were a mess and not set up at all. Chairs were in random places and pillows and cushions were all over. The table was filthy. Rugs were all pushed against the rail and not out for us to use. There was a dirty high chair outside that should have been put away before we arrived. We didn’t get to take advantage of the outside much due to the effort I would have had to put in to even sit out there. The check-in process would have been better if we were given a unit number, which we were not. We had to match the pictures to the building. Make note the house is at the absolute TOP of the mountain. Once you’re down you will want to stay down for the day. It’s a trek to go back and forth. The host was communicative and responsive for the most part. Would I stay here again-No. Gatlinburg is a cool city with a lot to do. Pigeon Forge and Sevierville also have things to do and not a bad drive. All in all I was disappointed with the house, but enjoyed our Christmas in the mountains. I am frequent to VRBO so I set higher expectations for my stay.
