There are some Pros and some Cons to this property. The location is hard to beat, not on the Parkway but less than a 3 min walk to get there. The room size was nice and the bed was comfortable. For the cost though, I expected a more updated room. The flooring had been updated….mostly. There’s 1 wall where it didn’t go all the way to the wall and was missing the quarter round that was around the rest of the room. The kitchenette was nice to have but again, felt old and outdated, along with the bathroom. The toilet felt like it was 6 inches off the ground when you go to sit down and you end up with your knees at chin level.

Upon check-in to get your parking pass you get the TIME SHARE SPILL SIGN UP FOR A 90 MINUTE TIME SHARE SPILL. Pool is small and always packed. The bathroms havent been renovated for a while. No maid service but extras were in the closet. You can walk to the strip in 3 minutes. Parking is tight and confusing because of 6 levels and tiny numbers on the room doors. Room was clean everything worked.

Average room, thin walls

The hotel was just an average room with nothing special or anything. Did have outdated decor and such. You also need to really hope you have quiet neighbors because the walls are extremely thin. Even normal conversations can be heard which was annoying and would wake you up. None of the doors fit either so they were hard to open and close. Was close to downtown and walkable though. Parking was also a little weird but it is on the side of a mountain. Staff was nice and courteous.

The location is amazing. Everything is super close. I was very surprised how dated our room was. It’s had to be the same since the place was built in the late 70s or very early 80s. Also they said it included breakfast but that was just bulk individually wrapped pastries & orange juice. We did enjoy our stay but we could have rented a nicer cabin for the same price for a dated hotel room.

First day there was only one towel for towel for me and my wife to use. I had to walk down the hill to the office to get a towel because they would not bring me one then the night we checked in my wife pulled back the sheets there was a blood stain on the bedsheet. They did change the bedding and clean the room and brought fresh towels. The so-called resort offered free Internet we had no Internet, not only that I went to iron. My clothes opened up the ironing board and the legs snapped off and almost fell and hit my foot Mandy who is also the lady that checked us in Was at the desk when I went to complain she rudely said which of these problems do you want me to handle first, sir? They offered me a discount for finding blood on the sheet on day one but then refused to give me the discount after they found out that I had told the lady I may check out the next day, but I did not check out she went ahead, took it upon herself to check us out on the 12th of July anyway even though we stayed if they thought we checked out, they did not make the bed on the 13th or bring any towels if they thought we had checked out they would’ve made the room for someone else.

We will see you again

This was our first stay with the River Terrace. First off, the front desk staff was amazing and accommodating. We got to the hotel early and was allowed to check in. We stayed in Building 7 and fell in love with not only the location and view, but the decor of our room. We will definitely stay here again .

We walked into the rooms and were extremely disappointed. It looked nothing like the pictures and the more we looked the worse it got. The spa tub was just inthe middle of the room and was not clean at all. It looked like it was brought in from a rummage sale. The two sinks were just as bad if not worse. We at that point were already going to request a new room but were tired and decided to wait till morning. Things continued to get worse the shower didn’t drain so the water was above our ankles when we got a shower which is just gross and the toilet was actually moved about 2 or more inches from where it should be and moved when you sat on it! The rug by the bed had places where it was coming apart that could have been tripped on. Then when we went to bed it was like sleeping on a slab of rock. There was no cushion all. In the morning we requested a new room. After telling the girl how awful it was she ask if having room service come would help. We said absolutely not. She gave us a new room that actually looked like what we booked. I can’t believe they could actually think a person should get such a disgusting for any amount of money much less over a hundred dollars a night. We deserve our money back for the inconvenience as well as thinking that the room they put us in was worthy of anyone staying. It was like a smack in the face. We will never be back and will let everyone else know how bad it is there.
