The location was pretty good but everything else was a disappointment. This is a timeshare location and everything other than your room is ala-cart, this includes housekeeping. Housekeeping is only performed on checkout. The room furniture scratched and the walls, floors, windows and bathrooms were dirty. (the baseboards had 1/4 inch of dust on them). Several walls were severely damaged with deep scratches. The indoor pool was $17.00 per person per visit but the furnishings around the pool was uncomfortable, small pool area and not worth the the price. The spa was being renovated during our stay and appointments were being performed in a open suite and a couples massage and facial cost $600 that was supposed to last 2 hours actual time was 1.5 and was told the difference was for completing forms before treatment but we arrived early prior to the appointment to complete. I asked for no stairs and a basement unit with stairs was provided ( i have a medical condition that makes going downstairs extremely difficult). I also requested and paid for a premium view, I received a view of the woods no more than 150 feet from the busy highway. When I complained they stated nothing else was available. This small vacation for my wife and I was expensive due to the room ($550 per night) and not worth that price and we will not recommend staying even at half the price.

There are not enough workers to maintain this resort. Going to the waterpark is not guaranteed and you must wait in line to see if you get tickets, which are additional. The room is for 4 people and smaller than my master bedroom as a whole. There was not a enough blankets and pillows for four people, so we requested more. Due to one person working, we never received them and we needed to sleep with towels instead. The “sofa bed” is so old and uncomfortable for kids and especially adults. The sink in the bathroom was leaking all over and because you share your water tank with the room behind you, we had no hot water, and had to wait two hours to shower! Save your money and stay somewhere else!

Finding a parking spot was not a problem at all. We actually were lucky enough to get a spot close to the stairs to our room. When arriving at our door with our bags and infant children we only came to find out that our keys did not open the door. As most people would we assumed we were doing something wrong, but no matter what it just wasn’t working. I tried to contact help, it was very difficult to get through to anyone. After about 20 min I get a text offering help from someone throughout my stay. I immediately text back my problem and minutes would go by before I would receive a text back. Nobody showed up for about 30 min and we were stuck outside in the rain because my toddler was not getting back in the car after a 8 hour drive. I was not greeted nicely by the “group” of people that came to help. After finally getting in the room and walking around checking it out, I hear my daughter yelling and it sounds kinda far. Turns out SHE WAS IN SOMEONE ELSES ROOM! the door was unlocked from our room! When someone finally showed up again they didn’t even act like it was a big deal!!! Luckily we just booked for one night so we went to sleep and left in the morning!! Scariest hotel experience I have ever had!!

My stay was amazing! But Travelocity definitely has false advertising as far as the water park. It does not include the water park. When I got to the hotel I checked in and they pulled me over to another desk where they said “your VIP stay does not include the water park it will be 210$ a person, however if you sit through a 90 minute meeting at breakfast you can get the passes for free as well as a 100$ prepaid visa” in the moment I was considering it however I’m glad I didn’t go with that he offered us 4 free passes for a day due to the inconvenience and misunderstanding. So we went the next day. The water park is not at all worth the price they were trying to charge! However they have more then enough to do on the property, which includes the heated pools and hot tubs one is on top of the mountain which was an amazing experience! The view was absolutely beautiful and breath taking! They have a little zip line but make sure you reserve your spot when your first get there, and they have a little putt putt golf spot! Will be returning at some point in my future!

So I booked my room through the Travelocity app. Pictures of this resort showed the amazing indoor pool “the waterpark”. Check in wasn’t until 4 but we had drove all night and got in at 11. My first impression of the resort was so beautiful. Gorgeous really. I stopped by and asked if they had early check in. The lady who helped me at the desk was super nice explained everything got me check in early cause my room was ready. Our room was amazing. Beautiful view! They had a cute little fire pit seating space on the drive up the mountain to my room that was so beautiful. Def a place to do a romantic getaway if your looking for one. My only complaint was on our way back from gatlinberg I remembered that the lady at the desk hadn’t given me my waterpark passes. So I stopped at the office and the lady at the counter directed me to the vip desk. I walked over there and the lady was super rude. She said that the water park didn’t come with my room. She said “can u show me where on your app you got the impression it was included in ur room” I get it it was my mistake the app leads you to believe it’s included because of the pictures on the app but she didn’t have to be rude about it. I’m sure she has to deal with that 30 times a day. Maybe ask the people at checkin to just clearing with people using the hotel apps that it’s not included and if they wanted to purchase the passes. We ended up not purchasing them cause we only had 2 hours to use the pass anyways but it was super rude
