The only problem we had was with parking and that was pretty self induced. I only mention it in. Are someone else does what I did. We got in late so the valet gate was closed. I should have asked when I called about how that would have worked. But I pulled off onto the side of street, my husband walked in and they sent the person out to open the gate and park our car. The hotel was great. We didn’t get rooms with a view but that’s ok. It felt very French Quarter. I love staying in well kept older places. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The last day I went down to the cafe because it was raining. I was not impressed. The floor was filthy, the food was mediocre, but the coffee I had was pretty good. I only ate there because it was raining and didn’t want to join the men at the museum. Much better to go out and explore for breakfast like we did on previous days.

The Hotel was beautiful. Exactly what we wanted with a balcony on the street side. We were met at the door, with a Staff Member grabbing our bags and storing them as we arrived before check-in. We took a stroll on Bourbon street and received a text when our room was ready. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and beautiful.

One block from Bourbon Street. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Being there right before Mardi Gra it was loud at night/thin walls to ourside, but still slept.

This stay was nice. I don’t know if it mentioned this in the amenities section - I should have read it more carefully - but I do wish our unit had a mini fridge to store our snacks and beverages. Most hotels I’ve stayed at do have one so I was caught a bit off guard by that. The staff and housekeepers were very kind and helpful, and the pool is nice too!

Staff was friendly, restaurants attached were tasty and reasonably priced. Rooms were spacious (bathroom wasn’t, but that was fine for us). Only negative was that I informed the hotel by replying to an email that we received from them on the day of travel that our flights were significantly delayed and we wouldn’t arrive until after 2am. We knew this by about 2pm so there was enough warning. When we finally arrived shortly after 2am, it took 15 minutes and a lot of pounding on the door for somebody exit the room next to the front desk to let us in. After that, everything was fine. They did finally respond to my email the following day to say they weren’t able to accommodate an early check in for me… so that was a little unhelpful since it was both late and not what the content of the email said.

I enjoyed my stay. It was very close to the action on Bourbon. But, the hotel was quiet. We attempted to get a quick meal at the restaurant in the hotel. The server nor bartender acknowledged us. But, the French Quarter has many great dining options specifically Oceana and their chain of restaurants. I’d stay again.

Great hotel but extremely loud

Hotel St. Marie is a nice hotel and all the workers there were very friendly. My biggest gripe is it was EXTREMELY loud every night starting at around 2 am or so and would continue to be loud for at least an hour. The noise sounded like large metal garbage bins being dragged and dumped, and it was every night for all the 5 nights we were there. We even went to Walmart after the first night to buy ear plugs, but those didn't work. I asked the front desk about it, and was told it was garbage service for the hotel across from it, and that they service it every night. I feel that if I paid $1,200 for 5 nights (not including parking), I should at least be able to sleep through the night. I've stayed at hotels in busy and loud central locations, and those hotels would have sound blockers. Maybe this hotel should look into investing in the same soundproof doors and windows. It's unfortunate because the hotel itself is very nice and it's within walking distance to all the tours and restaurants.

Our Favorite Part of New Orleans!

We spent seven days in New Orleans for our anniversary, and our stay at Hotel St. Marie was truly the highlight of our trip! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. Our king room with a street-view balcony was both beautiful and spotless. The hotel is perfectly located. Just steps from the energy of the French Quarter, yet peaceful enough for an escape. Watching the Mardi Gras parade from our balcony (with beads already waiting for us!) was such a special touch. The staff is absolutely top-tier. HUGE shoutout to Ms. Keisha! :) Every team member was genuinely warm, attentive, and made us feel at home. Housekeeping kept our room pristine and even checked in to see if we needed anything whenever we had the “Do Not Disturb” sign up. Valet parking was seamless, with easy access to our car whenever needed. If I had to mention anything minor, there were occasional construction noises outside (only on some days and not the hotel’s fault), and the water pressure could’ve been stronger, but the spacious bathroom more than made up for it. This wasn’t our first visit to the area, and it won’t be our last, but from now on, Hotel St. Marie will always be our place! Highly recommend.
