We were quite disappointed with our room, as it was situated right behind the very noisy elevators, which were in use 24/7. When we brought it up to the front desk, they were not too helpful. They said we booked a king bed, not that we knew those rooms were right at the elevator. We would have happily booked a queen sized room, however that was only available as a doube queen bedroom, which we did not want,as we were only 2 people. The staff did not make any effort to accomodate us with a different room. We had breakfast one morning. It was good, but way over priced for what we got. Sounded good on the menu, but was nothing special when it came out. The waiter was very professional.

The Beacon Grand was a nice hotel to stay at in Union Square. Close to a lot of shops and restaurants. Cable car access right outside of hotel. The physical hotel room was basic and small, but clean and all we needed for two nights.

A Fantastic Stay with Outstanding Service My recent stay at the Beacon Grand, a Union Square Hotel was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by every aspect of this beautiful San Francisco property. Front desk Alma was fantastic!! The room was fantastic – comfortable, well-appointed, and everything we could have asked for. The overall atmosphere of the hotel perfectly captures the elegance and charm that makes San Francisco special. What truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service from the staff. Angolo Perez, one of the doormen, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His warm professionalism and attentiveness set the tone for our entire stay. The valet team was equally impressive, always helpful and courteous. My only critique would be the parking fee – at over $70, it felt quite steep, especially for hotel guests. While I understand San Francisco parking comes at a premium, this seemed excessive for those of us staying at the property. That said, the exceptional service and wonderful accommodations made our stay memorable. Angolo, Alma and the entire team at the Beacon Grand truly know how to make guests feel special. I would happily return and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Francisco!
