"Cookies were good!"
Front desk staff were friendly. Love the cookies but my daughter preferred plain chocolate chip cookies, without cinnamon. Plenty of parking spaces. The beds were comfortables & linens were nice & clean. The walls are thin. You can hear the people talking in the hallway & hear the water running when the next door showered. The bathroom ceiling paint was pealing off; needs repainting.

"Cute Hotel in a Great Location"
Close walking distance from shops and restaurants, and about 15 minute walk from Fisherman's Wharf. Clean room, nicely updated bathroom, nice change from the "big box" hotels. Some street noise until bars closed, but silent after that. White noise from the A/C unit in the room took care of that. Would stay there again.

"Great view, a little noisy."
When I made the reservation, I requested a room with a view and a roll-away bed, but when we got there, they didn't give me a room that could accommodate a roll-away. So we checked into one room, and then had to check into another room later. To their credit, they gave me the option of a lower-priced room or an upgraded room for the same price as my reservation. We took the upgrade, and ended up with an amazing view and a fold-out couch. The room was lovely and comfortable, although my daughter found the fold-out couch uncomfortable. My biggest complaint is that the air conditioning system is so noisy that it's almost impossible to sleep. I lay there at night trying to sleep, but unable to, because of the on and off noise. It's more like a fan than an air conditioner. But overall, our stay was pleasant.

"Fun Beach Stay"
We really enjoyed this hotel. We vacationed with our family of four, (2 kids, 6 & 8 yrs old) and another couple we have been friends with forever(they stayed on 3rd level, Penthouse). We had an ocean front view on the 2nd floor which was fantastic! We stayed the Aug. 23rd weekend. A lot of the schools had already started so it was fairly kid quiet. The fog horn which sounds about every 5 seconds did not bother us at all. We even slept with our balcony door open at night and didnt hear it. Quiet hotel rooms overall. We did pick up some wine and cheese at 5:30 each night. The white wine I had was good. But, I think they could have offered some plates, instead of napkins for the cheese and a real knife instead of plastic. Breakfast was a good selection of homemade baked goods; muffins, coffee cake, danish, bagels/cream cheese, coffee, milk and juice. The selections varied according from day to day. Kids and our friends enjoyed the pool and hot tub spa. I like how they were separated from each other with a fence surrounding each. Views from patio/swim area were wonderful. The area was close to other areas. There is a walking path behind the hotel that will take you to other restaurants (Barbara's Fish Trap which we enjoyed) and Half Moon Brewery which I would NOT recommend due to service and food quality. Overall enjoyable stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a beach get-away.

"great SF location. hotel has a good restaurant."
this hotel is in a historic building across from Union Square. The restaurant is traditional SF style with good food well served. We were disappointed in our rooms. Ours was small, uncomfortable and poorly arranged. Our friend's room was a connected room that faced the street and was quite noisy.

"Nice hotel close to the pier"
We wanted to stay somewhere that was close to the pier since we were taking a cruise out of San Francisco. The hotel was very festive (we were there a week before Christmas) and very elegant. The one thing I didn't care for was the neighborhood, it was very crowded and a lot of traffic. Otherwise, I would stay here again.
