The place was easy to get to it’s super close to the airport. Check in with as ok. The staff wasn’t friendly. Absolutely average experience customer service wise. When we got there they seemed bothered to take our drink order and took like 10 min to close the tab at the bar. Room needs remodeling. Bathtub had so much rust on it, shower curtain was paper thin, mold seemed to be on the walls… bed comfort was average. Bars/ restaurants closed very early. I will not be returning.

The stay itself was amazing. We checked in on a Wednesday and checked out on a Monday. Upon check in, we were given a price and paid it. Upon check out they informed us we owe another 3,300 pesos. We were under the impression we paid everything upfront. This is upsetting because no one said anything about a final amount until we checked out. The communication could be better

The room had a dead roach, the AC panel was about to fall, and the toilet was clogged on arrival. A simple good morning, afternoon, or good evening, we'll be right with you, goes a long way. I was never greeted anywhere; I stood around waiting to be helped. We ordered food at the pool, and our food was never delivered. We had to walk to the restaurant and collect our own food. The same thing happened at the restaurant; we waited over 15 minutes to be acknowledged. The only pleasant thing was the rock painting activity the young man hosting was on point. We will never come back.

The staff was fantastic! Everyone was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Some went far above and beyond. The pools / pool area was awesome. Activities all day for the kiddos and adults. Food and beverages on demand. The building and rooms are understandably a bit dated but everything worked and was clean. Bathrooms were large and useful. Having a private bathroom attached to our master bedroom was a huge plus. If I had to pick out just one thing that we weren’t happy with it would be the king size bed. I prefer a firm bed as that’s what we have at home. The king mattress was absolutely brutal. It was so hard that I ended folding up a blanket to act as additional padding. If they were able to offer mattress toppers that would be great. I’m sure that would be cost prohibitive so I understand. I just think that it may be something people would want to know, especially when on a two week vacation. Otherwise I would highly recommend Club Regina as a very affordable option when visiting PV.

It's a beautiful, and slightly aging resort right on the beach. However... Much maintenance is occurring constantly including R I G H T O U T S I D E O U R R O O M!! Workers were modifying planters and applying a tar-like sealant with an overpowering gasoline smell. The odor permeated underneath our room door and the smell filled the room. We tried jamming a large towel at the door's gap and even had staff bring us a room humidifier. It took about 6 hours before we could return. Bad service methods and bad decisions on the hotel's management/maintenance. Also, there's constant trimming of palm trees and blowing of leaves and debris with gas-powered devices...NOISEY! Even the next-door Westin resort had a weed-wacker roaring for 4 hours as we sat by the Club Regina pool. We opted to move to the beach where the surf drowned out that noise. Aside from the resort being noisy for 5 days, the poolside restaurant was good. But the main restaurant "Inizio" had great food, but poor service. Waiter brought a salad for one guest, while the other ate their main course, finished it, then watched the first guest wait another 15 minutes to get their main course. Waiter could of timed the food delivery much better. Or just asked the guests. Restaurant Manager wasn't very friendly, either. So, overall we had a 3-star stay. The hotel staff (not restaurant) was very, very friendly and accommodating including costs/fees and currency conversion. Taxis were easily scheduled.

The main thing we missed was not having a mini fridge in the room. Having to buy water, etc., it would have been nice to keep it a little cold. The bathroom was dated but clean. Otherwise everything was good.
