I loved my stay there. A family environment is what it absolutely is. The only comment I would make is that the pool for adults should stay open later than 10 pm. I have stayed in other resorts where the pool is open late in the evening. I came from California and would've loved to enjoy the pool in the evening because of the hot weather I can only take the day in spurts.

"Nice with minor glitches"
In the Marriott tradition, the villa was clean, spacious and well-appointed.  Staff was courteous and helpful.  Villas are designed to provide a home-away-from-home and this one had pretty much anything you would need... full kitchen, spacious double bath with separate tub and shower, walk-out patio, washer and dryer, safe, etc.  The property was huge and was adjacent to a golf course and the larger, more expensive J.W. Marriott resort.  There was a nice, full-service pool area for those who like to hang out and swim.  Ample parking for all guests.  The huge Desert Ridge Mall was right down the street and provided great opportunities for shopping and dining.  Some minor issues: dishwasher had no cancel function, which had the maintenance staff so perplexed that they pulled the plug to shut off the machine (needless to say, we didn't use the dishwasher); one lamp in the bedroom had a faulty switch which was nearly impossible to turn on and off; the phone cards did not give a number to call to report problems, i.e. contact the front desk.

"The Heat is ON, but a cool place to stay! "
Had the pleasure to stay at the JW Marriott Camelback once again this past week. Have not stayed at this resort in about 11 years. As always, the reputation and experience remains synonymous and it is the perfect place to relax, treat yourself to the fantastic spa or relax at the pool or by your room. Renovations of the larger pool and suites were not bothersome as the grounds and terrain is breathtaking.Almost complete..... Live music in the Rita's bar lounge, the BEST fresh squeezed margaritas on the rocks, and cool mist spray to keep you cool when you want to be outside are all a plus. The BLT restaurant is in the hotel if you do not want to drive off site. The Apache trail is a must for driving to Canyon Lake for a half day of beauty and fun. Close to shopping and eateries and the Old Scottsdale area. I am a bit of a persnickety person and the accommodations, staff, and facilities are up to my standards of luxury. Lime trees, bougainvillea, cute bunnies, the cactus variety, and quiet facilities reveals the tranquil environment it advertises.

"Wonderful, as always."
We took the family for a final farewell to summer. It was a wonderful, exciting treat for everyone. From a few hours at the spa for me, mom, to fireworks after a light show and movie at the pool(s).

"Relax, Release, and Enjoy"
This was one of the best resorts that I have stayed at in a long time. After the passing of my mother, my husband and I needed a place to just RELAX, rejuvenate, reflect, and rest our thoughts. The beauty of the hotel immediately took us to another place, away from the stresses of the previous month. I love the sound of water...it soothes my soul. The hotel is surrounded by water...fountains, the pond, the connected pools with fountains of water running from overhead into the pools. I cannot describe the beauty and peacefulness of this resort...it was much more beautiful than the pictures show. There is an area for families and children, but also a separate pool for adults-only. Both were frequented daily and especially at night when the lights add a romantic flavor. I even got my hubby to go down the water slide...that was an experience! Our king-sized room with balcony overlooked the pond area where I often saw hummingbirds, a rabbit, and butterflies grace our presence. The room was large and bathroom a shower made for two was just as nice. The resort also boasts restaurants, spa, tennis courts, work-out facility, a Starbucks, and Gondola ride with professional singers. Everything was perfect for our week's stay.

"Amazing experience"
Definitely a Westin at its best. A great combination of a High end hotel with a comfort and convenience that a "Villas" can offer. If you have kids, this is the place to stay. You can enjoy the villas and still use a lot of the amenities in the main hotel. I Strongly recommend!
