Not a "4-Diamond" Resort

Major cleanliness and functionality issues, including: - Spider webs in room (above bed) - Filthy TV remote - Dusty room - Stench in room like mothballs, smelled like sewage in closet at times. - Trash left in room - Dirty coffee maker - Dirty shower chair (we were assigned an "accessible" room) - Pool for kids was closed and water slide closed - In-room phone didn't work - Bathroom door wouldn't close - Fridge wouldn't keep food/drinks cold I can say that Sandy at the front desk was wonderful and helpful although she couldn't come close to addressing the plethora of issues listed above.

Family resort with lots to do

We were only there for a stopover so didn't take advantage of all the action but pool was great, room service and breakfast very good. The grounds are lovely.

Lovely hotel and property.

Pros: The fire pits, pool and water slide which I loved because I had my grand kids over.
Location: N/A. Was there to visit my grand kids although we did use the pool and had a couple of meals.
Very nice all around. Excellent customer service when needed.

Historic site, beautiful.

Pros: The hotel saw to every comfort - large rooms, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, coffee maker, etc.
Cons: The bottled water could have been included in the price rather than an extra charge. It is very hot in AZ and people drink a lot.
Location: Unfortunately, we were only stopping for the night as we were headed to a reunion event in Sedona. We loved Plaza Cafe - the best breakfast ever!
The facility is over 400 acres and includes all recreational facilities from pools to golf. Instead of one large hotel style residence, guest rooms are in individual groupings all over the park-like campus. The rooms are very spacious although the bath is a bit old fashioned. We love the little patio, the flowers, and the huge storage space. The staff couldn't be more welcoming. The restaurant was a little pricey and the menu not very extensive but the food was very good. The only problem was the room we were assigned had no a/c but within minutes the hotel assigned another room in the same area.

I guess I won't come back

The first time, on January 2015, I spent a week at this hotel. Services was ok, staff was really nice. But at that time, I had a couple of issues with the wifi: about three of the six days I was there, the internet connection was lame. Now that I came back, service got worse: the smoke detector was making noise, maybe battery ran off, and I called maintenance to take care about that. They never showed up. Also, breakfast never arrived ask I requested: If I asked for three orange juices, they sent only two; If i asked for pancakes, they didn't send syrup... I mean, I'm not asking for a favor, I'm paying for a service. Well, I guess I won't come back... Thank you, anyway

Disappointing

Pros: Love the location and layout.
I have stayed at the Wigwam many times over the years. It has always been a welcoming and relaxing place. This time, however, I was monitored poolside and required to wear an arm band. On the last day of my stay, I was told to leave the pool area because I wasn't wearing one. The comfort of the room was also disappointing. Each morning at 5:19, the sun poured through the windows and woke me up. The window coverings are cellular blinds that do nothing to keep the room darkened. Given the price I paid for my room, the experience this time was definitely not worth it.

On-site restaurant Litchfield's was excellent

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
We loved everything about the Wigwam Resort. Everyone was so nice and the layout of the property was spread out enough that we felt secluded. Unfortunately, our bathroom needed a serious makeover. The room was large and plenty of space to keep our belongings out of site.
