Biltmore Hotel

Pros: Classy atmosphere
Cons: More noise insulation with rooms with adjoining doors. Have parking closer to rooms.
Location: Location is fine. Close to nice restaurants, segway in Scottsdale, museums (including Musical Instrument Museum). It was a two hour drive to Sedona
Biltmore Hotel is a wonderful hotel. My only complaint is that our room had two separate doors to adjoining rooms with strangers staying there, There was no noise insulation and we could hear people talking next door, one time at 5 in the morning, as if they were sitting right next to us. The rest of the experience was wonderful.

Not My Style

If you are in the mood for a pretentious overpriced stay, this is for you. My salad included the core of the lettuce. I usually throw this away at home. I had no idea it should be included in an undersized $12 salad. I'll spend my money where I feel I receive a better value and leave this resort to the 1%.

Not the best for business trip

We were in Phoenix for business. My coworker and I each had a room in one of the villa buildings. We didn't like that there was no convienent parking that was anywhere near our building. We had to walk either through a pool area or wind through the resort to get to our building. We got lost multiple times. With coming and going multiple times a day, this got old quick, especially with the heat and humidity. The rooms were nice and clean but a little outdated. I liked the patio a lot though. I was most annoyed that there was no coffee pot in the room. There was a loaded fridge with all types of drinks and several snacks on the dresser, but no coffee pot. I would have gladly paid for the coffee if I had made it. I would consider staying at the resort on a family vacation but probably wouldn't stay here again for business trips.

Not Really 5 Star!

The Arizona Biltmore continues to bill itself as a 5-star resort.  While the grounds and architecture are superb, the rooms are badly in need of renovation and the housekeeping staff misses lots of things.  We had an empty TP roll that was taken off the holder and the holder left separated and no roll replacement; a wastebasket was left on a chair; one of our party requested towels and received 1 towel and 20 washcloths.  The hotel is dark and gloomy in many places.  This could be acceptable at extremely discounted summer rates, but thank goodness we had not paid full price.

Very Disappointed

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: no protein options with free breakfast
Stayed at the resort this past August and while I was very excited to savor the Biltmore experience, unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations and memory. I was an employee of the resort in the mid-70's and have stayed as a guest many times over the years as well as attending weddings and various business functions. The Biltmore has always been known for it's superior service and attention to their guests. At dinner the first night, we received substandard service from our server. Twice, a server attempted to deliver food to our table that we hadn't ordered, the main server neglected to deliver water or drinks, no bread was served. We communicated our displeasure with the Restaurant Manager, she offered us a free appetizer which we declined because we felt it would more food than we could eat. Nothing else was offered and she went on her way. The food unfortunately was mediocre at best. Our room contained a half used bottle of lotion in the bathroom and a sheet and pillowcase that were stained.

This hotel is all-around excellent.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
I've stayed at The Biltmore twice, and both stays have been exceptional. The resort employees are extremely friendly and hospitable to guests. The entire resort - the pools, the grounds, the rooms - is beautiful. We ate at Frank & Albert's and at the main pool, and the food was great. I could not have been more pleased with my most recent stay.

I love the Biltmore and its great off-season rates!

I always visit Arizona in August for my mother's birthday - so I always make time to spend a couple of days at the Biltmore when I can take advantage of fantastic off-season rates for this top-rated historic resort. I just love everything about being there: the rooms, the grounds, the staff, the spa, the many pools to explore and try out, and the great central location if you want/need to get out into the Phoenix metro area for meetings or activities. I love this resort.

One of my absolute favorite hotels!

Fantastic hotel!! Great weekend get-away spot. One of my favorites even in the off-season (dead of summer). I love the pool area and the layout of the gounds. Close to great shopping and the airport.
