This ocean view home and cottage are near the southern end of Hawaii Island. We are near Black Sand Beach and Green Sand Beach, Kau Coffee Mill and Punaluu Bakery too!
Nestled in Discovery Harbour, this ocean view home and cottage are minutes off Hiway 11 in Naalehu, near the southern end of Hawaii Island. We are equal distance from Kona and Hilo and close to the famous Black Sand Beach and Green Sand Beach.

The cottage has been remodeled with a separate bedroom featuring a KING size bed, WI-FI and CABLE TV. A separate room has a KITCHEN and a FULL BATH. Parking is near the stop sign by the cottage. A perfect stay for 2 guests.

A wonderful stay in a clean, quiet cottage
We enjoyed our stay immensely. The cottage was more roomy than we anticipated, appointed nicely and very clean. The king bed was indeed comfy! Bonus which the host doesn't really have control over but there were no coqui frogs or roosters vocalizing. We really appreciated all the quiet. Would stay here again.

Quiet cottage next to the main house in Discovery Harbor. The accommodations were good and clean. It's remote and quiet if that is what you are looking for. No air conditioning but good use of fans.

The cottage was a nice escape away from the hustle and bustle of hotels. It was an ideal location for me to split up my sightseeing list to East Coast/West Coast with ease. Michael was welcoming and gave me the tour. He was also very kind and engaging during my departure. My stay was only for the evening, so my first impression is my only impression. Pros: Location. Convenient to Green and Black Sand beach. Ideal pivot location. Comfortable bed. Well stocked with kitchenware for anyone staying more than a day. Clear instructions. Cons: The shower temp wasn't as hot as I prefer. Luke warm. I can always make the water colder, but I cannot make it hotter than the temp the water heater is set to. Simple lock. I recommend a dead bolt on the door for safety.

We are a couple of sixty years old, spent a week in this cute cottage. Everything was beautiful, fast, affordable - beaches, volcanoes, helicopter, kayaks. It was a wonderful vacation.

Southern Most Stay
Totally enjoyed a stay at the Cottage. Very private and quiet neighborhood. Cottage is very well set up with dishes, towels etc. Check out requests were not difficult. Great spot to explore the Kau district of the Big Island. Bring your own groceries and be sure to visit the Punaluu Bakery.

Quiet, Nice cottage by South Point
Great place to stay on your honeymoon, couple vacation or any romantic get away. Cottage is a little drive to Kona. You are really close to great view of the ocean, volcanos, and black sand beach. Must go to Punalu'u Bakery, just down the road. Host is very helpful and nice
