I started checking around the room they gave us It was located on the ground floor. Started opening drawers to check the place and found 4 syringe and empty plastic bags in the kitchen. You can guess the rest. Moved to other room, also ground floor. We had to ask for cups, utensils, additional toiletries. They did not have any paper towel available. First night, smell of "skunk" in hallway. Did not think much about it. By 3rd night smell so strong along the hallway and into our room. I don't think the other rooms actually had skunks. Next rooms were noisy and every time they closed their door the walls shook. Needless to say I did not sleep well. No smell or noise during the daytime. Maybe this is not typical of the place, I did see a couple with their young kids. But not a good first impression. But I do not need another.

First room was so moist water was in hanging art under glass. Late check in was with cleaning lady and she was very unprofessional. Most staff I came across was very nice but not the most professional. I was staying for a surgery and recovery and needing to be sure I had clean sheets and towels daily which they do not love to do for you. Luckily I had family to get them for me from desk when needed. Had to ask for dishes which took a couple tries to get them all. Was a hassle getting toilet paper so we just bought our own. Never saw any nasty bugs or anything so that was a bonus. Seems they have some late night suspicious activity around the property but we just stayed locked in room as much as we could. I will not choose this hotel again if needing to go to Houston based on the upkeep of property and pricing but overall it gave me the minimum of my needs.

When I checked in the night clerk was great. While walking to my room the hallway smeed like marijuana. As entering the room i could tell it wasn't the cleanest. I had to clean the bathtub before i could take a bath, there was food on the floor. ( i stepped on a sausage pizza topping as i was getting out of the bathroom. Toothpaste was all over the mirror and sink area, and also on the pictures by the sink area. The curtin infront of the shelving has what appeared to be deodorant on it. And i had to go to the front desk to get clean sheets yo remake the be. (Sheets covered in hair and food) the desk clerk apologized for the room and took down all the information i gave him about the room. The next morning i told the manager and he told me that he was going to get housekeeping to clean it before i returned back. And was also going to refund my first night. I returned about 6 hours later and found that my room had not been touched. there were still pizza toppings on the floor by the door and the tv, trash still in the trashcan from the previous occupant. Grease over the stove area, and still had food on the bathroom floor. I went down to the front desk to gwy towels and told the night clerk that my room was still not cleaned and i told him what the manager said. Then he informed me the manager had not refunded me my first night so he did it for me. The only reason im not giving this hotel the worst rqting is because of Mr. Charles. He actually tried to help me
