Bienville House was comfortable, fairly quiet being just outside of noisy areas but only a few minutes walk to the busy French Quarter area. The only drawback was there was no breakfast available.

Update as of check out: I once again asked for a fan due to the room temperature, this time I was met with a very friendly receptionist that had the fan up in 3 minutes. Also while checking out the informed me they would be comping part of our trip due to inconvenience and the receptionist was very nice and apologetic. The whole experience was overall neutral but I'm glad that they addressed the issues and made an attempt to fix it. Rating changed from 1 star to 3. PROS -Rooms are clean and kept up by staff daily. -Bathrooms are modern but as many others have said there's very low water pressure. -Beds are EXTREMELY comfortable -Location is great, others complained about loud music all night, we didn't experience that at all. Only other bad was the pool, it's filthy and not very well maintained. Don't come expecting to use it. We've been to New Orleans a dozen times, we've stayed at some of the smallest hotels, all the way to the larger chains, this was by far the worst stay we've ever had. It was quite literally 1 thing after another. After initially booking us in the wrong room they blew up my phone while I was out on the town all evening. They then forced us to pack up and move on the second day of our trip, offering no compensation or even apology for their complete screw up. (I was offered to receive a call from the manager that I initially ignored). On day 3 of our trip we called to request a fan because the room they moved us to doesn't allow you to turn the thermost

Stayed here with my sister for a quick trip to New Orleans. The hotel was beautiful, the staff were kind and helpful, and it was so easy to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Our room was spacious, with windows overlooking the street below. The bed was soft and comfortable, and all of the linens and towels in the room were clean and fresh. The hotel even provided free coffee/tea in the mornings and water bottles in the room daily. I highly recommend staying here when you visit the French quarter!

Nice location and lovely stay

3 adult women for a get together had the patio area on the top floor. 2 full size beds, a bit small but we managed and when we asked for more towels they gave us plenty. The shower took some time to get hot but it finally did get hot. A rain shower and hand held, step in step out. Very convenient. I enjoyed the old world architecture and the sounds of the river at night.

When I checked in, no one was managing the front desk and I had to wait 20 minutes. Also my bed sheets were dirty though they did correct that issue. Location was good but found the staff a bit rude. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Nicely located, has charm. I got in late evening, unpacked, then discovered no hot water coming out of shower, and only a dribble of cool water from sink faucet. Evening staff person was very helpful and found another room. But needing to pack everything up at midnight after travel was not great. This room did have hot water but the flow from shower very weak. Do they have plumbing issues, or is it some State law? Also my second room was dark in daytime due to small single window and heavy drapes that could not be fully retracted. The fact they had no breakfast food, even simple like some rolls or cereal, was disappointing, requiring going out. That needs to be clearer in their promotional material. Overall, had they checked that my original room was in proper order, avoiding a midnight relocation, I would have given this place a more enthusiastic rating.
