"Unusual hotel, centrally located."
The hotel's location is good in that it is handy to getting to sites. The fact that the building's structure is very long and only two-stories high makes it unusual----for Boston. It was built in 1962. Our room's bathroom's electrical switches has obviously been reconfigured from the original. The room was spacious and the large window could be opened to allow in fresh air. Staff was very helpful and alert.

"Not Really A Luxury Hotel"
Got a deal thru a travel site, otherwise this review would be more negative. To start with, layout of hotel was very confusing–Check in on 6th floor; pool is on the roof (closed due to construction); 2 sets of elevators: 1 set to get from street level or garage ton6th floor then change elevator banks to get to guest rooms; lifts VERY slow and crowded due to construction workers' use. "Free WiFi" consists of having to register ea (max 4) device EVERY DAY; tv service terrible–few channels/NO channel guide in room; On Demand movie rental cost $18.99; In-room coffee svc terrible: very weak coffee; Room service food outrageously expensive and def not family-friendly; Emerald Lounge is referred to but no menu in room nor even any idea of where to find it; phone requests to Guest Services sometimes don't get response; room temp VERY hard to regulate; one bed very close to AC/Heat wall unit and was drafty overnight in 20-degree weather; self-park at hotel costs $40 per DAY, valet park even more. They DO provide "luxury" bathroom amenities, very fluffy pillows

Excellent, comfortable, reasonable, convenient hotel. In the process of renovation, so might be noisy on a weekday morning, we did not hear anything. Highly recommend it.
