Hotel was nice but staff was not friendly

All I say about It I don't think they like the southern people. Everybody around the city was really nice. My first time in Boston love it except the hotel stay. Boston was on my bucket list and I went to a Sox's games. I have stayed in all kinds of hotel but this stay was the bottom of my list.

Good location, shabby and threadbare

Pros: Location
Cons: Basic maintenance
We stayed at the Colonnade because it is close to our family in the Back Bay. We were here the weekend after Christmas and were surprised at the grim facade. There were wreaths, etc., in the lobby but the general impression was rather gray and sad. Outside the hotel were a series of planters containing dead grass. Our room was large and quiet, but quite shabby. The shower curtain and bath rug were tattered; the toilet seat was hanging on by one hinge. The pillow cases were marked with what looked like pen and ink stains. Though we were given a sign telling us to put Charlotte the rubber duck on the bed if we wanted the linens changed, there was no rubber duck to be found. Not a big deal--we could have called the front desk. However, you get the idea: for a hotel reputed to be "nice," it fell a bit short.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel

I stay in the Colonnade Hotel every time I come to Boston. The staff is friendly and professional, the accommodations are stylish, clean, and comfortable. Hotel location, central Back Bay, is convenient to everything in the city. Walking distance to everything in the Back Bay, easy access to the T, and cabs are always available on the spot. During the summer, the Colonnade has the best pool in the city. During the winter, the cocktails at Jo Brasserie will warm you right up! I never have a negative thing to say about this hotel. Recommended for business travel, couples, or families.

Great Back Bay stay.

Pros: Location, the restaurant, easy parking.
Cons: Heat in the room was not working properly.
Location: Everything is close by, Symphony Hall, Huntington theater, Prudential and Copley shopping malls and hundreds of restaurants.
Pleasant, convenient and relaxing. Accessible to all attractions with lovely rooms. For an in-town trip, the hotel suited our needs perfectly.

Very nice upscale hotel.

Everything was nice except the front desk clerk, he was a bit rude. Said he would check me in to my room, 20 min later I was still waiting. Had to remind him after he checked two different people that came after me.
