"I was very pleased that we got early check in. Very much appreciated! We enjoyed our bay view, however, it was a bit noisy since we were facing the street. If you don't have to get up at 4:30 am for a half marathon, I don't think the noise will be a problem at all. We just had to go to bed really early, and there was a cruise ship directly across the street having the longest and loudest sail away party in history. I think it went on until midnight! BTW if you are on a cruise, I would totally recommend staying here! You could not get any closer! And there is a Starbucks near by. The location is perfect."

"The Sofia was fairly disappointing. While the property was conveniently located downtown, the staff was less than friendly. We requested an early check in which was not possible but were given looks while we waited in the lobby. One staff in particular, Ian, was arrogant and judgy. The rooms were fine, but we all heard rustling in the walls (perhaps mice or bats). The bright spot of this hotel is the new restaurant, Truva. Mark, Kevin and Tommy were excellent and we had some wonderful drinks! They were welcoming and friendly, unlike their hotel counterparts. The decor is beautiful and the food was delicious!"

"This hotel is a good budget friendly option! Ideal for shorter term I’d say. The showers hot water is iffy. Breakfast was great so that’s a plus. Fitness room had no fans so it was so humid and hot. And no wipes to clean equipment off after others used it. That made it hard for me to use this amenity. I think it was overpriced for what you got but nonetheless it was clean, bedding needs upgraded and then it’d be comfortable too and match the price more!"
