I liked that we were able to check in before our spa session. I disliked that we ordered what should have been an unobstructed view with king bed, but we were centered in a high traffic area that was easy to look into from most directions, we were given 2 queen beds, one bed had mortifying semen stains in it… how was this missed? Paid for the best, but got worse than motel 6.

The location of our room was excellent for our 95 year old Mother. She could stay in the room during the cocktail hour of our grandson’s wedding. The room, however, needs an upgrade. The Carpet has stretched and I tripped on the roll of carpet getting ready for the wedding. For the price, even in the historic part of the hotel, I expected better.

I had hoped to stay In the Victorian part of hotel but was put in new area called the views. My room was located next to construction as well. The hotel location and beach were wonderful and the staff at all restaurant and bar locations were wonderful.

The front desk person was very rude and disconnected. She put us in a room where the construction was going on even though the Del hotel was not busy. There were plenty of rooms in the hotel and it was not busy, but she put us in the worst possible area for our 27th anniversary.

The property itself is gorgeous on the outside and the surrounding beach area is beautiful. The restaurants and shops are a bit pricey but about what we expected for this type of property. Our room had a very big gap under the door so anyone walking by sounded like they were right in our room. Also there was no microwave which was disappointing, and one corner of our bed was broken so it leaned significantly. Also to shower you had to let the water run for 5-10 minutes (not an exaggeration) before it got warm enough to shower in.
