"The resort provided an overall positive experience, with standout strengths in its restaurant offerings and amazing beach. The dining options were diverse and of high quality. However, guests should be aware that reservations are required in advance due to limited dinner hours (6:00 PM – 8:30 PM) The dining experience varied across restaurants. At Rocksteady (dinner on May 24, 2026), the service was notably disappointing. The assigned waitress displayed inattentive and unprofessional behavior, including slamming plates, abruptly clearing dishes, and offering minimal communication beyond taking orders. In contrast, dining at Roots Café was highly enjoyable since staff were attentive, welcoming, and created a much more positive atmosphere. The buffet has many options and refreshing smoothies at the cafe. The restaurant reservations and excursion booking process presented some challenges. The staff member (Chantelle) responsible for coordinating these services is located in the café. She appeared disengaged and provided limited assistance. When asking about excursion options, guidance was minimal, with instructions to take photos of laminated pamphlets rather than receiving detailed recommendations or support."

"We booked this B&B last minute for my birthday trip. Polkerris completely exceeded ALL of our expectations. It is the CLEANEST accommodations I have ever stayed at!!! Our room was spotless and so were the common areas and dining experience. The property is well-maintained + great view, this made us feel very comfortable. We missed their welcome message and did not send them our arrival time, yet they were still so welcoming when we got there a bit early. The family (Laura and her parents) that runs Polkerris and all staff we encountered are incredibly kind and make you feel so welcome. Their passion for hospitality shines through in all they do, we felt like we were staying at a relative’s home because of their kindness and care. They went above & beyond for my birthday and I will always remember this (especially because this has been a hard year for us, we really needed this warm experience). This was our first time having traditional Jamaican food and it was absolutely delicious!!! Everything they served us was wonderful. I’m really missing the Escovitch fish. My husband eats only veg & chicken and I’m pescatarian and we felt like we had enough options, and they are also flexible and accommodating too with food preferences. The location is extremely convenient, only a few minutes from the airport. You can walk to the beaches, shops, and 27/27 Lounge is literally right down the street. We would love to stay here again. Thank you all for everything!"

"The main advantage is that it’s only a few minutes from the airport. It’s cheap and cheerful, making it suitable for an overnight stay rather than a holiday destination, as there’s not much to do nearby. Shops are just around the corner, and the hotel is located close to the sea. The property is in need of significant updating. I mainly use it for a one-night stay when my flight arrives late, and meals are not included, so you’ll need to buy your own food. I’ve stayed at this hotel twice and will continue to use it because of its convenience. However, the pictures are somewhat deceiving and make the hotel appear better than it actually is."
