Absolutely terrible experience

Absolutely terrible experience. The only reason i returned here is because it was the cheapest. Room was dirty with overflowing bin for 2 days, next to loud trams running late nights, bedding was clean but full of bedbugs, one was bloody and stained the bedsheets. When i asked them to change the sheet, they agreed but i returned to find the same blood stained sheet. Toilet was diabolical with with little pond all throughout the stay. Stairs and terrible carpeting in the building is always a disaster waiting to happen. Tripped and got bruised seriously. They had no first aid to assist. System is not uploading the other photos. And a video of bedbugs having a carnival on my bed.

The toilets are not regularly checked and tissues emptied. Same with the bin in our room, I had to ask for it to emptied on the 2nd day. Beds seem to be allocated randomly as I got in the room and my bed was already taken. Then i was told to take a different bed which was then allocated to another person who came and removed my belongings. People including your own staff smoking weed and cigarettes in front of the entrance despite notices. This is not healthy. Last few weeks, I left behind my waistcoat/vest and called immediately. I was told they'd ask housekeeping but no one had a record of my enquiry nor did they ask housekeeping. Lost item gone!

I loved the staff at this place. They were so helpful and were so kind to me. It is the people who stayed at this place that made me feel very unsafe. When I asked to change rooms on account of this, the staff did so immediately and tried to place me with only females (I am a solo-female traveler). Unfortunately, that could not happen, and I was once again placed in a situation where I felt very unsafe.

Avoid at all costs.

Terrible state of the room and without curtains. It’s not possible to sleep at all because the street light directly shot into the room and the hostel staff didn’t offer any help. And in the night, you can hear everything as the wall is paper thin. The toilet on the 3rd floor not working and good luck to the shower too. We stayed at room 302 which does t haven’t curtains. Very bad smell of the room. People previously stayed must smoke weed in the room.

No working shower

Showers were not nor king and they lie about fixing the problem. The staff do not pick up the trash from the trash bin in the room, the toilets are constantly dirty with no attention from staff who are constantly smoking in the entrance.

Simple put, nothing was working. No hot water, not even a single shower was working in the whole hostel. They need to sort this out.

This was the worst hostel experience I’ve ever had. The rooms were dirty and the atmosphere was very unsafe. There were drug addicts in my room who told me they were living there permanently. They did all sorts of drugs. Nothing matched the positive reviews, and I felt completely misled. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

This Hostel is in a great location in Amsterdam, just a 5 minute walk from museums, the Vondelpark, restaurants and downtown Amsterdam. We stayed in a double room which was very tiny but did the job. I will say it was not the cleanest, the room could have used a vacuum and a wipe down of windows and surfaces in general. The shower room was very dirty, very limited water pressure and only cold water. I heard theres hot water sometimes in the morning. Overall, great location, we felt safe but it was smelly and dirty.

There were bed bugs in my bed! A lot of them! That was gross.. Also you need to pay 6 euros for a freakin towel and they only accept cash because their credit card machine is broken. So I ended up not using a towel
