Fun bar and coffee in the lobby, free sauna and hot tubs for guests, underground club, free live music throughout the weekend. Room was very nice and comfortable. The hotel is right by a metro station. Would stay here again and recommend to friends visiting Amsterdam.

Super fun and hip! We got the Quad room with bunk beds, and it was clean, spacious, and perfect for the three of us. Possible Cons: -Road noise was a little loud, could also hear some flushing of toilets from other rooms. But these were too bad at night when sleeping. The lobby is also used as a local hangout/work spot, which I found nice, but if you get nervous about strangers being allowed into a hotel lobby, be aware. -Very hipster and young, perfect if you are into that vibe, feels very much like what you expect from Amsterdam, but might be overwhelming for older folks. VPNs are blocked on Hotel WiFi, so if your job requires you to access a VPN, prepare to use a hotspot.

The Volkshotel was absolutely lovely! The place itself as well as the rooms are unique and artistic. The staff was so friendly too! My favorite aspect was the barrel hot tubs on the roof!! Loved it!

This place was perfect!! It is very close to the train station and very close to the grocery store! The staff was so amazing and very helpful!! The food at the restaurant in the hotel was so good! The rooms were very clean and everything it felt very safe because you have to scan your room key to get to your specific floor and then scan your room key again to get into the hallway of your hotel room!! 10/10 and will most definitely be staying with Volkshotel on my next trip to Amsterdam and would also recommend it to everyone going to Amsterdam!
