Such a nice location to explore, central but quiet and comfortable. Staff was helpful. We didn’t have breakfast there but it smelled lovely. No hesitation at all in recommending, especially if you want to enjoy Amsterdam from a calm, less crowded spot.

The desk agents were very helpful and pleasant. The room was surprisingly large. It does have an elevator although very small and typical for a building that is old and retrofitted to a hotel. It is very convenient to the surface tram. Bit of noise coming from the school yard across the street but we were gone all day so it didn’t bother us except for the day we sleeted in to recover from jet leg. I would stay again.

Really?

When you pay €360+ for a room, how much of that should be for a fully-functioning bathroom? I’d say at least 1/3. So, for my stay last weekend, there wasn’t a drop of hot water, not even tepid. A terse apology at ‘reception’ was all that was offered, no suggestion of any kind of partial refund, or maybe the breakfast thrown in as a gesture. Spending the entire day un-washed made for a disappointing experience. The positives now: position couldn’t be better (five minutes from Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum and the Concertgebouw, not to mention Amsterdam’s smartest shopping street. The staff is very friendly, the woman who oversees breakfast (which was very good) was super-nice. The rooms are slightly old-fashioned, but clean and spacious. But no water …

Such a beautiful property and great staff! They help with local recommendations and are very happy to assist you! Very friendly. I will be coming back and wish we could have stayed longer. The kitchen and dinning area was perfect and if you are so close to all museums. The beds are perfect too!

We loved our stay. The breakfast was so good, including the freshly pressed OJ, baked goods, and Dutch pancakes to order. The room was large and bright, and everything ultra clean. The tram station was a few feet away making this hotel a great location.

I highly recommend Hotel Fita. It is a block from the major museums but on a quiet street next to day care and children’s schools so it’s super quiet during the night and charming during the day. Very lovely. I would definitely stay there again.
