Disappointed

Pros: It clean, beautiful, and modern
Cons: Not having to wait for a room especially when it's after check in hours
Location: The only thing that was close to this hotel was the tram in either direction.
We arrived at the hotel in time for check in (3:10pm). We were told our room was not ready as yet. If we would like to go to the bar and have a drink it will be ready shortly. After about 1 1/2 hours I went back to the desk and ask if our room was ready, I was told no not yet. I ask to speak with the manager, the lady at the desk went to speak with the manager and then told me we will be given a different room which was fine. My question to the hotel; why wasn't this offered to us earlier? Why didn't someone come and give us an update on what was going on with our room? We then ask for assistance with recommendations of things to see and transportation. The gentleman was not very helpful. At the end of our stay, we noticed on our bill the drinks we received while waiting for our room. We thought those drinks were complimentary (one coke and one red wine). The hotel is beautiful, clean, and modern but having to wait 1 1/2 hours for a room, not being kept updated, and being charged for drinks we thought were complimentary while waiting for our room was not the best experience
