"Grant Park Spectacular"
Great location for the price. However the hotel was dated and several amenities were in need of repair. I came in for the weekend series with the Atlanta Braves. I was pleasantly surprised by the convenience of the hotel to several excursions in the downtown area. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

"Very nice, clean hotel"
This hotel experience was great! The hotel is extremely clean! The pool was small, but nice. The free breakfast was awesome and helped save $ every day. It is within approximately a mile walk to a lot to see and do in Chicago. The only downside was that onsite parking is $66/day and offsite in a nearby garage was $42/day! I wish we would have known that in advance. In most cases it's easier to walk than drive to a destination. Otherwise, I'd recommend it!

"Loved it - so unique!!"
We had no issues what so ever. Loved this hotel! It was so fun and modern and not your usual hotel. Everyone that works there that we came into contact wtih was wonderful and happy and very helpful. The front desk gave us a few tips which was really nice of them. We didn't get a chance to try out the bar inside the hotel, but it was very lovely and cool looking. This hotel was worth it just for the photos alone! There was a surprise around ever corner. Make sure you visit the first floor above the lobby - there's a "game" room with a TV and chairs and tables. It was fun! And make sure you look out the window of your room - you just might spy something (or someone)! And the elevators were really neat! The walls were covered in music album covers and you could turn the music up and down, or change the song. And there are chalkboards on the outside of each room. Make sure you write something - and maybe check out a few other floors to see what other people ha written (Example: Don't knock unless you have booze!) Everything was clean and new.

"Good Time"
It was our first trip to Chicago. We were visiting with family and friends for the holiday weekend. Our room overlooked the river and was spectacular. I was totally surprised by the number of terrific activities that were available. The River Walk, the boat tours, the old Sears Tower, the beach and the Navy Yard. The restaurant selections were endless. It would take a year to try them all. Our favorite was the Purple Pig! Quite a unique selection of foods and drinks and the staff was most accommodating. I thought Philly pizza was good~~ NOTHING like Chicago deep dish!! HOWEVER I still like ketchup on my hotdogs. Can't wait for a return visit.

"Great location and great staff"
This downtown hotel is centrally located, close to public transportation, and most importantly for tall folks, had king sized beds! Their breakfast was better than average with the standard make your own waffles and a daily hot entree. But the best thing about breakfast was the terrific staff. One woman in particular was so friendly and had such a great smile that her attitude was contagious. She made my day. The price here was comparable to other hotels, but the friendly staff (and absence of any other problems) will make this my Chicago hotel.

"Want to give 5 stars! Badly peeling paint..."
I stayed recently at the Indigo Gold Coast. I have stayed at this property 4 times previously, just never through Travelocity. So much to like: location, staff, price... But the paint was peeling off in sheets. Again, sheets, not tiny flecks, on the white painted furniture in this room. If I had a small child with me, I would have had to request a room change. And I probably should have, but didn't feel like making a fuss. I did take photos and will be sending them to the hotel. Again, this should and did cloud my sense of how much this property cares about it's facilities. You can't rent a room like this with huge pieces of paint hanging off the furniture for any amount of money. You just can't. My reviews (see above) for everything else are high. Indigo, I hope you bite the bullet and address this issues. Yes, it may take a room out of commission for a night (not more than than if you sand and paint), but it's worth it.
