"Pleasant and comfortable"
This was a convenient place from where to explore the city both for both work and play. Loved being able to walk to Union Station and to Millennium Park, the Art Institute and to see a variety of fabulous architecture.

Great location. Staff was helpful when our room did not meet our needs. Very nice, even if the rooms are small, but then who needs a big room when you have all of Chicago to be seeing.

"Hometown Visit"
Everything was great except that the hotel that served our floor broke down at 10pm one night. We had walk up 12 flights of stairs to get to our room. To compensate us they paid our tab for a late night snack and drinks at the excellent restaurant at ground level. Also, while we reserved a room for two adults, they repeatedly gave us only one washcloth and one hand towel. Self parking was a bit cumbersome as it was not located in the same building. The free filtered and chilled water was big plus.

"Comfy beds and close to Train"
I really felt like I received a bargain with Allegro. It felt like I paid 3 star hotel price for a 4 star hotel boutique. My only complain is that they do not offer free bottles of water but I was fine with buying my own. There's a Walgreens less than a block away, close to a station that has all of the trains available. 45 min away from O'Hare by train. The bed was super comfy and I slept so well.

"Better than expected"
This hotel exceeded our expectations: the room was big, clean, and in almost new condition; had a very nice breakfast with many choices (bacon, egg, sausage was offered each morning, I had no problems getting waffles even when there were hardly any tables empty, oatmeal, pastries, fruits, hard boiled eggs, bagels etc.) The staff was very helpful and kind. The location of the hotel was convenient: Willis Tower is the closest sight, about 4 minutes away. This is also where one can get on the Hop-On Hop-Off bus. Rentable bikes are even closer. Michigan Avenue is in walking distance (10 min) as is the Beam. The Navy Pier is a little farther but we still walked there. Trump Tower is about 12 minutes away. Many restaurants around there. The only one thing that we would have liked to see: minibar in the fridge. We had a fridge, coffee station & a microwave but nothing in the fridge.

"Great location, needs more staffing"
This hotel is in a wonderful location, close to the Art Institute and Grant Park. The room was clean and comfortable. However, we had to wait a long time to check in, then when we got to our room the keys did not work. The next day, after going out, the room key did not work. Both times, again, I had to wait a long time to get new keys that work.
