Poor shower

Pros: Location, bed, temp, lobby.
Cons: water pressure did not exist
Location: ice skating, shopping, eating, museums
Outside of the shower, this is a great place, great location, and safe.

Great location

Pros: Location
Cons: Replace/recover some of the furniture; nicer sheets
Location: Miracle Mile just a few hundred yards walk away
Fairmont Millenium Park Hotel's service was good, especially the bellmen/car service. The furniture in my room was "tired". But the location was excellent. I could walk easily to Hyatt Regency where my conference was being held, leave and return to my room in five minutes, no longer bombarded by the hoards there.

Nice close to navy pier and taste of chicago at gr

I had problem with the beds on July 9. We got back on night and found out that the beds had not changed. I talked with Mgr about it he sent the maid to change the bed sheets and pillowcases and gave us the compliancy breakfast. Couldn't give me discount cuz of third party. Wonder if u could take care of this and make adjustment of money? Let me know. Thanks

New Year New fun

Pros: close to a lot of festivities, yet not right on top of everything so you could still hear the next morning. wonderful job with the renovations.
Location: Navy Pier few blocks away, taxi's were reasonable to where we wanted to go. CVS across the street. I recommend Eggy's for breakfast though. Deliciious
Had a great time. Everyone was helpful and a great view of Navy Pier fireworks from our room.

Nice hotel...great Travelocity rate. Awful staff.

Pros: Location and physical nature of the property. Very clean
Cons: Better customer service training. Follow through if you say you're going to do something (like review security video for a stolen wallet) do it.
Location: Close to Michigan Avenue...Millennium Park. Awesome shopping and dining options. Views of Lake Michigan.
This would have been the perfect hotel stay at an amazing Travelocity rate. However, the front desk (Jackie) and security (Andrew) staff were less than stellar in relation to my sister-in-law having her wallet stolen in the hotel lobby. Very disappointing to be told twice that they would view the hotel security video...only to learn that they hadn't. At checkout, the staff was very dismissive about the situation, clearly not wanting other guests to hear any complaints. After over $1K in fraudulent credit card charges, and no assistance from the hotel we've decided to just move on. However, I think it's important for people to know the type of service (or lack there of) from some of the staff. The hotel itself is lovely and decorated beautifully for the holiday. Valet was a little pricey ($70/night) but I'd expect that in a big city. In the end, it comes down to the customer service one would expect in the hospitality/tourism industry, especially at an upscale property such as a Fairmont. We were not looking for the hotel to do anything for us, we weren't holding the hotel accountable for what happened...but a little professional compassion for the situation would have been greatly appreciated. Will never stay at this property again...no matter what the amazing rate. It's shocking that a crime like this could take place in such a property and the staff not care or be concerned is truly disappointing.

Nice luxury hotel, good location, but pricey

Very nice hotel, the entire staff was very friendly from the bellhop to housekeeping, which is more than I can say for the actually people that stay at the hotel, but I digress. Were able to check in early, which was convenient. Room is nice, beds should be queen-sized in my opinion, due to the hotel's caliber. Beds weren't amazingly comfortable, I've definitely slept in better beds. Ordered room from room service and from bar, both were very pricey, and once again, I've had better. The variety of food was lacking. Finding out that there was a CVS directly across the street was God-sent hahaha. We were able to buy snacks and trinkets needed for our stay. Had to go down the street and around the corner for breakfast because, once again, i wasn't impressed with their breakfast selection and prices. $20 for a continental breakfast vs $10 for a breakfast buffet with omelets made to order and mimosas. It was a nice surprise to find out that the Spa's steam room and relaxation room was included in stay. Gym is kind of typical, but nice. Our stay was during a business conference at the hotel, so at that time it, it didn't seem very kid-friendly. Not sure my stay was spectacular enough to stay again, but over all, it was pleasant.

Perfect downtown hotel.

This hotel is perfectly situated for excursions into Millenium and Grant parks. The Chicago riverfront is only 2 blocks away. The view is spectacular.
