This is an older hotel and I think it’s beautiful, but certainly it’s not fancy. But with that location, I don’t need fancy and the view of the lake and the fountain was awesome. From when we entered, and Stephen took care of us, pointed us in the right direction and told us the best place to park… every staff member after that was friendly and looked out for us.

The location is great. The hotel itself needs a facelift. No thermostat. Our room had a 24” tv. Our door had a 1” gap at the bottom and light flooded our room from the hall lights. No internet available in our room. Couldn’t connect to the hotel WiFi.

The entry and waiting area has been remodeled. The rooms look like 1940’s. They are old, rusted and the toilet was about 2 feet from the floor. Great location because it was in the heart of downtown. I will not be returning!!

The night security guard was super rude when I brought food into the lobby, assuming I was a delivery person. He didn't didn't give me time to show him my room key before he raised his voice and told me I wasn't allowed in after 11pm. When I finally showed him my key he mumbled a half-hearted apology and walked away. Other than that, the hotel is old and could use some maintenance. Broken tile, ill fitting door frames, etc. Not a bad place to stay, but for the price I expected more.

For an elegant looking , historical hotel , I was shocked at the run down condition of the room and hallways. I have stayed at $60/night shady Niagara Falls no-tell motels that were better. Location is great , but room is dated, worn out , paint peeling. Awful carpet , 30 year old bathroom fixtures. Not worth the money

It was nice, there was a vent cover on bathroom ceiling that was loose. A little sketchy. Oddly the TV was tiny. Holiday Inn’s have better TVs. Otherwise our stay was comfortable.
