Unfortunately it's not a 4 Star hotel for sure I'd say a 2 Star, I was very disappointed especially for the price I paid for the room. I'm just going to say I have a compromised immune system after battling breast cancer for the 2nd time so I have to be extra careful in public by wearing a mask and when I travel and stay in a hotel I have to be sure it has great reviews for cleanliness, upon our arrival into our room I wanted to wash up before heading out to dinner when I turned the bathroom light on I immediately noticed a make up mirror attached to the wall. I pulled it out to use it and there were men's whisker hairs all over the mirror. I don't mean one or two I mean lot then as I went to throw a Kleenex away, I noticed under the counter were two watered up pieces of Kleenex in different areas under the sink or counter rather where I'm assuming the previous gentleman cleaned out his nose and just threw the little wads under the counter disgusting then in front of the tub on the floor was a pretty good size piece of glass where I'm assuming somebody broke the glass that was there for water that would've been horrible and I got in the tub or shower and stepped on that barefooted so I thought I'll make a cup of coffee called the front desk. The bottom of the coffee pot was dirty. It had white chalkysubstance on the bottom of the pot as I sat down to call the front desk. There was a couch by the window, where you could see underneath the couch was a pill of I don't know what

This is an older property but they have done a great job hacking the rooms so you can charge your devices and the internet is decent as well. I would undoubtedly return. Finally, the staff are super friendly and helpful.

The good: room was very spacious, lots of room to store belongings, staff were friendly, breakfast options good, safe location. Bad: we ran out of toilet paper and tissues and were not provided any more after making requests. We had to provide our own. No maid service unless you request 24 hours in advance. Faucets on sink in bathroom falling apart. Overall, a good hotel, but seemed like we paid just for the sleeping space without any of the usual amenities.

Decent, affordable hotel in a great location. My room was comfortable and check in was super easy and convenient. My main complaints would be the bad breakfast and coffee situation. Free breakfast is definitely a plus, but after getting it the first morning, I didn’t go back. Everything was kind of gross. The waffles were Eggo waffles. I also wish they had real coffee makers in the room. In the end, I would definitely stay again.

The location can’t be beat. However there was mold in the bathroom and ceiling near closet. It’s dated, pretty and breakfast was good. Staff at breakfast was scarce. Not for everyone, but The double stroller didn’t fit through the elevator doors.

We really enjoyed staying at the Whitehall during our Chicago visit. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The room was large,clean,and the air conditioning worked great. The breakfast area was lovely and had plenty of great varieties to choose from. The location was top notch and on a quieter street. My only complaint is that the wifi connection is poor. We will likely stay again.
