"Housekeeping is provided only once every two days. Breakfast is included in the room rate, but the selection is extremely limited—basically just potatoes, eggs, sausage, and bacon. Unfortunately, dinner at the hotel was also very disappointing in terms of both quality and taste. Another issue is ..."

Kailua-Kona Hotel & Travel Guide
For the big-city experience on the island of Hawaii, head to Kona, the largest district on what is commonly known as Hawaii's Big Island. This tropical paradise is the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway and a dose of fascinating local culture. Whether you're slipping on your flip-flops and heading to the beach at one of the Kona beach hotels or climbing to the top of a dormant volcano, a trip to Kona promises to be unforgettable.
Natural Beauty
One of the main draws of Kona is its stunning natural scenery, so take advantage of the views by spending your time in Kona outside on the beach. Lie on the soft sand beach of one of the luxurious Kona hotels, where you can relax in a lounge chair, snorkel, or learn how to surf. You can also visit one of the public beaches in town, like Manini'owali Beach or Makalawena, which promise to be among the world's best spots for seeing underwater sea life. There are many hotels in Kona that offer easy access to the Big Island's best beach destinations. If you want a view of the island's natural beauty from above, climb to the top of Mauna Kea, a dormant volcano that is the highest point in the state of Hawaii.
Soak Up the Sunshine
There's plenty of fun to be had in Kona that's not on the beach or at one of the luxury Kona resorts, so head to some of the island's best attractions for delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a fascinating taste of local Hawaiian culture. Kona has some great coffee spots and don't miss the chance to have a fresh cup brewed from local beans. For a unique look at the Big Island's history, take a tour of the Hulihe'e Palace, a historic state monument.
If you're planning a trip to Kona, let Travelocity help. Whether you're looking for Kona hotels near the airport or five-star romantic resorts, we can help you find the best deals on cheap hotels and flights to the island.

PACIFIC 19 Kona
"Property is clean, easy parking and close to everything. Park and walk to all major Ali’i drive sites. Near restaurants and water. Park at the hotel and walk everywhere. Room is clean and the ac is great. Which is needed in this area as the humidity and heat index are often high. Pool is good for kids, close to road so supervision is a must. ABC store across the street and KTA grocery store is walking distance up the road. Quinn’s almost by the sea has a pretty good ribeye. So there you have it. If you need space to do business the lobby makes a great office space and is available 24/7 Restroom in the lobby as well. The staff are the key here. They understand what a sense of urgency means and offer it. Starbucks is around the corner walking distance. Great spot if you want to walk to the water (1 min walk) to see sunset over water and sunrise over the hills. Look online and book. A palace tour. Yes. It’s also walking distance. The fish hopper has great breakfast. Beware that the website says breakfast until 11 but it’s actually until 10:45 sharp. Lots of young people here and it’s very active. Would highly recommend this hotel above some of the larger resorts."
