TATTERED SHEETS, THIN MATTRESS, WEAK SHOWER
Booked this property for a week based on pictures online. Although there were no reviews, all looked good. The pictures, with the exception of the backyard pond which was empty and not well cared for were accurate but taken from clever angles that made things appear much larger---especially the kitchen and bathroom.
After staying one night, we had to check out due to a terrible skin reaction to something in the house.
I contacted the owner, explained the situation, and told him we would be checking out. I asked about the possibility for him to rent it for the remaining six days and consider a partial refund.
I own a business and certainly understand unfortunate situations and always do my best to accommodate a reasonable request.
Not so in this case.
The house was clean, the backyard could use some help and the property is on the edge of a sketchy neighborhood. I lost over $2,000. by leaving early.
It didn't ruin the trip though.
My advice: Skip this one, pay the few extra dollars and check into one of the many beautiful and "stunning" hotels or rentals in nearby downtown.
