Great hotel on the Ft. Lauderdale Marina

Not on the beach but right on the marina with great views and just steps away from the water taxi that takes you to all the best destinations in minutes such as beaches and restaurants...just jump back on the water taxi to get back to the hotel. Great vacation hotel or stay before/after cruise.

Hotel Hell

Pros: the location was great, breakfast was excellent, the waitress at breakfast was the best, so sweet and incredibly helpful.
Cons: rooms could be a lot cleaner, elevators could be in working order (2 were out whilst we were there)
Hotel was not what we expected, location was great, but rooms were old, tired and dirty. 2nd morning we found a roach running around the shower, 2 calls to customer service and one to housekeeping 3 hours later I had to go to the front desk to ask for someone to please remove the roach so we could shower. We were given complimentary breakfast but did not make up for the fact that the room was still not what I had expected - the shower was moldy. the bathroom floor behind the toilet was dirty with dust and other peoples hair. 2 of the elevators were not working for the 3 days we were there

old but clean

Pros: has all facility, close to cruise terminal, cleaness
Cons: it's old needed a lot upgrade, lower price to match its condition
Location: close cruise terminal, walk to water taxi,
we stayed 2 nights before our cruise, as this hotel is closed to cruise terminal, that's the reason we picked this hotel, this is the old hotel with 1 tower high floors and several wings of 4 floors buildings, we have stayed in one of those, it's a good size room but the bathroom is tiny, this hotel have had all facility as listed like fitness center, pool, restaurant etc.. the staffs were friendly and welcome, Chinese restaurant was expensive, food was over cook dry and not tasty, portion was small, long waiting for food ( 1 hr+ due to small number of cook staffs but crowed customers), despite they have tried to keep the hotel clean it's still an old building and needed a lot of upgrade, overall it's good hotel, cleaness, close to cruise terminal IF it isn't overpriced match to its condition

Disappointing

Pros: Proximity to cruiseport
Room was noisy, directly opposite the ice-maker, diagonally across from the elevators. In-room safe was broken. Satellite TV kept going in and out, and there was no timer on the tv remote. Fortunately, we only stayed one night.

Awesome Location, Great Hotel!

I had a king room with the view of the marina and a beautiful yacht parked right behind my balcony. I was on the first floor with easy access to the pool and restaurant as well as fitness center and other amenities. This hotel is truly unique with wonderful staff who genuinely care about your stay. I got a great hotel at a great price. More than willing recommend to others and will be staying here again!! 3 thumbs up! Lol

Thanksgiving night

...checked in very late, but it still took over 20 minutes. Our room was very nice and clean. The bath amenities were nice also. Our room was convenient to parking, which we were charged twice. (That was refunded within a week.) The property overall is need of a bit of a sprucing up. It's not run down, just tired. The hall carpets could be shampooed and the was a lot of mold on our balcony. If you are there for a convention, this is SO convenient. Otherwise, shop around.

overpriced and terrible sound quality

My room was 175$ for one night. The walls were so thin that I could here any and every conversation down the hall. It was literally like they were right next to me. The staff was polite but charged me double for parking. (Pay to park after I gave them 175$ for one night, that's just stupid. The view was nice outside of my room but not very secluded. They charge you 75$ for a deposit that they never tell you about. Still waiting on my refund

It's a nice property but one needs a car to get around town since cabs are scarce or need to be called and Uber isnt allowed in Broward County
