Did not realize how far the beach tower is from everything. There is no room service. The air conditioning was not good at all.

Room safe malfunctioned twice and had to call security each time to reset, bathroom toilet continued to run and needs a new flapper/chain, bathroom door had been previously damaged and when open made a loud creek noise, bathroom shower curtain rod needs repair, and had a terrible view of the air conditioning units on the roof.

OK...location great within walking distance to everything in Atlantis. Hotel - way too much walking. View from terrace horrible and if it was windy - you could hear it all night long. Very expensive way overpriced food and activities. Maid forgot to clean room first night. Told hotel I was on disability and they put us on the 9th floor and to get outside was a good 1/2 mile walk.

Upgraded to Coral towers. Nice renovated room. There were a few issues such as the door was hard to close and housekeeping issues such as our room wasn't serviced one day, had to ask for clean towels and no extra toilet paper. Overall great experience. New pool at coral towers was awesome. Only other issue was there were too many cruisers at the resort to the point they take over misadventure. Should open aquadventure to guests staying at Atlantis before cruisers get there. Food is expensive especially with newly raised VAT tax.

Did not heed the warnings

The resort is magical but I did not heed the warnings about the rooms @ the beach plaza. I chatted with a rep prior to booking to confirm room conditions and was fooled. When we walked in the first thing you smelled was mold then it was visible in the shower and the bathroom sink. A little bleach can go a long way to get rid of that nasty visible effects. Then on our 3day we left around 8:00am and placed our please clean room sign on door, but to come back around 1:30pm and room still not cleaned. So I had to call. Then on 4th day room not cleaned at all even though sign was on door from around 8:30am, came back to room around 2pm & again @ 4pm with no clean room & clean towels. Around 7pm we were frustrated & only requested towels. First off the food is redicusly over priced and the tax is 12%. Breakfast our first day was $80.00 for two. Why?????? We learned fast to go out to the little shops/restrrants out front for food & drinks. On another note the guess from neighboring hotels can have excess to the resort as well with Carnival doing about 3 or more excursions a day which makes the place a bit crowded and you having to hunt for pool/beach chairs. For the prices you pay to stay as a guess of the resort, and the redicus prices of food and drinks it’s a huge unconvince. Like I said before the place is magical and they are obviously making money which again doesn’t justify the prices. The people and staff for the most part were nice some not so nice

Best vacation ever!

I have been to many places in and out of the United States but by far Nassau and Paradise Island have made me want to come back in the future very soon. The Bahamian people go out of their way to accommodate you, they are all extremely kind and I cannot say that I had encountered one rude person along the way. We stayed at The Beach on Paradise Island which is part of Atlantis. They ended up putting us in the Flamingo Villas on the second floor, the room was spacious it was clean and extremely convenient to the beach and pool. I had read so many negative reviews before I went there that I almost was second-guessing my decision, but now I am so happy that I didn't listen to the negativity! The food is amazing but clearly pricey because of the 12% VAT that is added. But please do not take it out on the people who serve you because it is the government that chose to impose that tax. It was my first experience with the Bahamas and we went out to Exuma on the island World Adventures speed boats and those also were amazing and I would go back again!

Don’t do it!

The carpet was heavily soiled, the furniture had the art of a 6 year old inspiring painter, the balcony door was difficult to open (yes, I broke a nail), the room smelled like a wet dog, the ventilation in the bathroom was insufficient- hence the sweating walls and the stains, the bath tub fixture was so hard to turn on and off we just let the water leak because neither one of us could turn it off completely ( broken nail #2), the towel rack was so corroded that the “clean” towels carried the stain where they were placed. The out door furniture was cheap, uncomfortable and unattractive. The beach and pool commodities were also distasteful, in regards to the Aesthetics . I happen to explore the entire grounds of the resort and found that the Cove has the best of the best. In general the complete attraction was the center of the resort with the water attractions. I’m done! Never again will I visit this Hell’tel.

Overall it was a positive and relaxing vacation. Check in and check out and luggage was smooth and easy. The room was clean at check in and was cleaned every day. We had to remind housekeeping often that we needed 4 towels, not 2 for 4 people. The water pressure is also very low but the room was comfortable and clean. The paths around the room were beautiful, clean and safe. The resort area had much to do and we were never bored or searching for something to do. All the people in the recreation areas and around the property were incredibly friendly. There is a lack of chairs at both the beach and pool area with many guests waking up before 8 and claiming chairs, especially those with covering or umbrellas, for the day. This led to a lack of resources as you would move around the area throughout the day. The only way to get an umbrella on the beach was to rent one for 30$ a day. The areas in between hotels, beaches, pools and aquaventure was clean and beautiful and filled with interesting things to see and stop. Everything was conveniently located. Food is VERY expensive but absolutely delicious, even quick food by the pools were tasty and big portions. Pack sunblock, goggles and anything else you may need as it is all really expensive, 30$ for sunblock. But if you need anything, you can easily find it. Our family had a great time at Atlantis and would return.
