Average all inclusive

The lobby had a funny smell, the staff were very courteous and helpful. The restaurants were alright except they don’t take reservations which I didn’t like. On the last day my girlfriend found her jacket missing for the flight home

Great hotel, a few quirks

I loved this hotel, but odd that there are no clocks or paper and pens in rooms. Also closest atm is in Atlantis casino next door. Also a gift shop would be appreciated. Very clean, great rooms, staff super friendly and good. Although ice machines on many floors have been broken for weeks. I would go again in heartbeat.

Fabulous Vacation

Pros: The Staff and the cleanliness.
Cons: The Coffee The Pillows Need a ceiling fan in bedroom.
Location: On Paradise Island, right next to Atlantis. Go to aquarium at Atlantis after 6:00pm and its free. The Burger Shack in the harbor is awesome.
All the staff - even in passing - always asked how our stay was going. If there was anything we could think of to make our stay more pleasant, the staff would have bent over backwards. The Hotel was beautiful and extremely clean, from the lobby, to the room, to the outdoor pool area. Really enjoyed the view from our 10th floor room. The fridge was fully stocked and water was plenty. The only thing I did not care for was the coffee. The buffet changed every night with plenty to choose from. The Fusion restaurant, was not worth the effort. Although classy, the food left a bit to be desired.

Don't believe everything you read!

Location: Atlantis within 30 second walk Harborside village is cool Jet ski's Straw market
Where to start! After reading hundreds of reviews on this hotel I was concerned but for the price on such short notice I couldn't pass it up. First off, to eat at the restaurants other than buffet, yes you have to line up. No reservations. Guess what, this is not a cattle line, there are a handful of people in line and its like you're going to olive garden or chilis and have to wait for a table. Cry me a river. Reservations, sure would be nice but get over it. The buffet had a good assortment, nothing special but I am a picky eater and was fine. The jerk chicken grill poolside is on point! Great for middle of the day, take the edge of the cocktails. Beach is amazing! One day was rough but we still spent the day in the ocean. Plenty of lounge chairs and umbrella's if you want one and the employees will drag them down to your spot. There are a few beach peddlers selling some stuff but are not pushy and actually have some cool stuff. You can rent Jet Skis within 10 feet of the property for anywhere from 60-70 dollars per half hour. Totally worth it! I did it on two different days. Keno at the pool side bar is the man. Great attitude, pours awesome drinks! Poolside swim up bar is cold but come on people, when it's 80-90 degrees I don't want to sit in bath water. It was cold but plenty of people having a great time in it all day long. Hotel is super clean, rooms are renovated and are very nice. For the price you can't go wrong!

Looks like a brand new resort

We stayed 3 years ago and it was nice then, coming back after 3 years and wow the place is completely done over. 2 pools a new jerk station outside for lunch the lobby all done over a coffee station in the lobby and the old sports bar now the calypso lounge was amazing the food was just as good as before always a big selection between the specialty restaurants and buffet. The rooms where great our only complaint was the mattress was really firm. Everything was clean and you always saw housekeeping cleaning during the day making sure it stayed that way, making it adult only was also great as well.

Hotel Riu Palace

Pros: The remodel job was fantastic. Everything was new and clean. The décor was perfectly put together.
Cons: nothing.
Location: Location is great, right next door to Atlantis. The beach is beautiful and there were no problems with vendors either being pushy of too many of them
The facility and staff were first class. Had a wonderful experience staying here. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Also liked the fact that it is an adults only all inclusive.

Room and Food

Location: Atlantis, then get a cab and explore the Island
I PAID for a 2 queen sizes bedroom with a Balcony on a low floor, and was given a , 1 bed NO balcony, on the 6th floor, I was traveling with My Mother who can't do higher floors. The Front desk was Very Nick. The young man's name was Kirk. He was Very Nice. I'm sure it wasn't his fault. I sure the Hotel could have Done better RIU is at fault, if they knew hey were remodeling why book the rooms and take my money. They did change my room the next day but it was an inconvenience . We did NOT Enjoy most of the Food. Just tasteless , garbage. I won't recommend this to my family and friends.

Location was perfect

Pros: location
Cons: finish the updating and it will be perfect for an all inclusive
Location: Location direct beach front. We stayed at the hotel for 6 days and took 2 trips to other islands which were really awesome.
Again location was great, hotel needs is in process of updating. Out room was updated and was very nice. The staff was very nice and took care of anything we requested. Food was a 5 on scale of 1-10 but we expect that at any all inclusive. Drinks we good but not consistent from bartender to bartender. Overall good experience for the price.

Nice but not great

Hotel is right next to beach but it's very old needs a drastic upgrade. Air conditioning went out a couple times, they are working on the hotel so you can hear them early in the morning waking you up, hotel is very short staffed and employees are not as helpful as other RUI hotels I have stayed in. Not a lot of hotel activity like other Rui hotels and only one pool. Hotel needs a big change, rooms are also very outdated and food kept on running out in the cafeteria. For dinner if you try to go to one of the specialty hotel restaurants like stake house you must be there right when it opens if not you can forget about eating there since cannot make reservations and they won't take you in after a while will have to stick to the regular dried up buffet food. Unless there is a major upgrade done soon in staff and in the building I would not recommend this hotel
