Nice staff. Dated decor. Musty odor to hotel.

As above. For $270-350 a night should be better. Needs new carpet and cleaning

Just OK

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: No free Internet
Nice Hotel in an OK spot. The closet was too big and the bathroom was too small. The bed was a rock. It's being turned into a Dobbletree and will probably be nicer than

The overall experience was average.

Cons: No free Internet
Service was somewhat disappointing. The wake up call requested was not received. The advertised free shuttle was seldom available. The maid service was average at best.

Beautiful Hotel

Pros: Quiet
The Kyoto Grand is a beautiful Hotel and very quiet. My nephew was getting married a few blocks away so my whole family stayed at the Kyoto. My only complaint would be the cost of parking at the hotel... I would suggest people park right across the street it is much cheaper.

fabulous in every way - would stay again!

Gorgeous, very tastefully decorated hotel with an outdoor garden in the heart of downtown L.A. Extremely helpful, pleasant, professional employees (other than one woman at the front desk) who clearly took customer service as a goal. Great restaurant - try the veggie scramble (it has feta...) with turkey sausage for breakfast! This is the absolute cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in - every day I was there, I saw hotel employees cleaning everything from elevators to chairs! I mentioned to the front desk that I was going to the Museum of Contemporary Art - and they had their shuttle for me in moments. There is a Starbucks just steps away, and I felt very comfortable walking around the area near the hotel by myself as I did a little sightseeing one afternoon. If you are here while 33 Variations is still playing at Ahmanson, do yourself a favor and see that too! Would definitely stay at Kyoto again!!

HOTEL COULD OFFER MORE FOR CLIENTS

Cons: Nothing close, No free Internet, Noisy, Poor breakfast
The hotel looks good, but the neighborhood is not a safe place and the hotel could offer free wireless internet and breakfast for guests .

Nice, inexpensive hotel.

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: Nothing close
We reserved this room for the Rose Bowl so roooms were scarce. We wanted someplace safe and this was. We felt it was close to things we needed. Would have help if there was public transportation closer but that's the way it goes. Don't know if I'd stay again but it served it's purpose definitely. The one major plus, delicious ramen served in a restaurant next door, yum!

Nice Hotel in Downtown

Pros: Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
We love staying at the Kyoto in downtown LA. It is very convenient for us to reach the fashion district. Sometimes you can get a good deal online, however the parking and internet are high added expenses. While it has been a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay, ultimately it is often too expensive for our trips to LA.
