Not well designed

Pros: The off strip location, free parking, staff and room size.
Cons: Upgrade the shower and TV system.
Location: Close to the strip but not on it. Two other hotels (Rio and Gold coast nearby).
The room was large and the bed was great. The shower is ridiculous. you have to enter the shower to turn on the water and then get hit with a cold spray of water. the TV was fine but the silly remote was like something from 20 years ago. I spoke with a maintenance man and he agreed with my assessment. He was highly critical of the design also.

Great place to stay in Vegas

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Great gaming. Great pool. Great food and clubs too. Only complaint is that I wish the shuttle to the strip ran later than 8pm. Some refurbishment right now but it will only enhance the palms experience

A little further from the strip than I anticipated

Pros: Has everything you would need.
Cons: Pool hours.... the pool is only open during the day and it is considered a "day club" so there is a dress code.
Location: You could walk to the strip but I wouldn't recommend it. Has everything you need in the hotel.
This hotel is a little further from the strip than I anticipated but there is a shuttle that runs during the day from the hotel to the strip and it is free for hotel guests. When I booked the room I chose a room with one king size bed but when I got there they told me all of their rooms were full and the only thing they had was a room with two queen beds... not a big deal but kind of annoying that I booked something months in advance only to show up and them tell me that it wasn't available. The room was nice and seemed clean (you can never really tell). The hotel was also nice but not as fancy of architecture as some of the hotels on the strip (Bellagio, Venitian, Paris, Caesars Palace). I like that there were fine dining options as well as a food court with a variety of affordable options. I would be willing to stay here again, but next time I would choose a hotel on the strip just to be closer to all the action.

Upgraded to a room worth revisiting

I booked a premium room in the fantasy tower for my wife's birthday, but when we got there it reeked of marijuana...so much so that we got headaches after only being in the room a couple minutes. A call to the front desk got as an upgrade to the Palms Place Tower. Our room few from 400 sqft to 1400sqft. We went from the 7th floor to the 23rd floor and had just about every lap of luxury you could want. We had a fire place, bathtub overlooking the city, mini kitchen with stove top microwave and fridge. We had multiple shower heads in the shower, a washer and dryer in the room and a second toilet! The room was so nice it was hard to leave. If I had the money I probably would have bought the place. The only downside was there were no dishes, pots or pans, cups and other basic kitchen items in the room, despite having a dishwasher. If your aim is to go to the hotel casino be prepared to walk. It's a minor inconvenience but the Palms Place Tower had its own pool and the spa is on the same floor. $25 grants access to the spa's amenities and they are worth it. We will definitely be back, just hope we can afford it.

Nice hotel. Good buffet. Hot tub wasn't working, so we didn't really use an of the amenities that the resort fee paid for.
