Close to the strip with no chaos

this hotel was close enough to the strip that you could get there in a few minutes but far enough to avoid the chaos. There was easy parking that was free and a great continental breakfast with waffles and everything else that you would want. The pool was open and the hot tub was nice and the service was great. We would definitely stay here again

Paid for two double beds but only got 1 bed!

Pros: nothing
Cons: new hotel
Location: horrible location.
Old place. Stinks. Paid extra for two double beds and was given only 1 king and a cot.

Make sure everything (pool/hot tub) are open

Pros: The business room - free use of computers and printing
Cons: breakfast and open the pool and hot tub
Location: Las Vegas - nuff said - nice that we didn't have to deal with a casino
The pool and hot tub were closed. The business service room was great. The breakfast was...ok... The meats were awful all but Saturday. We had keilbasa twice which gave me a headache (nasty), ham once which was ok but nothing to write home about and sausage once (good). The eggs are obviously powdered. You must request hot chocolate and when you want more than 1 packet you are made to feel like you are taking more than your share. The fruit was not ripe. We requested that the housekeeper leave extra pillows but were ignored and had to call for them again later. We had to request extra towels everyday or we would only get 2 towels.

Close to Strip

Pros: Clean with good breakfast.
Cons: the A/C needs repair.
Location: Close to the strip so you get that type of crowd in the hotel. Many people who are wanting to party late at night, which leads to extra noise.
The hotel is close to the strip and attracts the type of people who are there for the party. The hotel has noise in the halls past midnight, and overall the hotel was very crowded. I would not recommend this hotel to a family with younger kids because of the party atmosphere. The room was clean, but the A/C system made a lot of noise when it was running. The other facilities (fitness room, laundry, etc.) where nice and well maintained. The breakfast was good, but there were a lot of people eating at the same time so you may have to wait for some of the food to be restocked.

Great breakfast

This hotel had the best complimentary breakfast of any hotel I've ever stayed at. Rooms were nice, clean, and quiet. Complimentary hotel shuttle from the airport was great. My only complaint was the shuttle to the strip. One of the main reasons I picked this hotel was so that I could get the free shuttle to the strip, however, the hotel does NOT pick you back up, it only takes you there. When I asked how they expected me to get back, they said to either take a cab or walk. The walk was not too terribly far, but it involved walking through the back parking lot of the Excalibur and under an overpass, so I would not feel comfortable walking back at night. I don't see why they can't pick you back up at the same scheduled time as they are dropping people off since they are there anyway.

Hampton Inn Tropicana

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
The room was decent. They have a pool listed but its outside so in the cooler months its not much use! Dont expect to get a smoking room without a hassle, they do make it right but you have to speak up! They do have a small store type place to buy food, expensive for what they carry. The breakfast is good, many things to chose from.

Very pleasant hotel within walking distance of Las Vegas Strip

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet
Room was large and king bed was one of the most comfortable I've had at a hotel. Breakfast was full with scrambled eggs, sausage, make-your-own Belgian waffles, cereal, fruit, bagels, juice, etc. Staff kept breakfast well stocked and fresh. Wireless Internet worked well, convenient plugs for laptop and wide selection of TV channels.

Close to the strip hotel with nice amenities

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Just off the strip, near the freeway, close to everything. We had a car and parking was always available, although late night we had to circle to find a space. The room was great, bed comfy and roomy. Nice shower and fluffy towels. Little sofa in the room, nice touch, desk for laptops and great intertnet, free wifi, fast connection. Definitely would stay there again.

Clean, friendly, quiet

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
It was a relief to find a hotel near strip but without any gaming - the quiet, smoke-free atmosphere made it worthwhile. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were consistently good. Room was nice, very clean and the beds and pillows comfortable. Bathroom had no tub, but the spacious shower was great. The shuttle service to/from the airport and strip was on time and comfortable.
