"We checked into the hotel on Saturday, May 30, between approximately 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM for my birthday celebration. This was the second time I had booked a stay at this property. Upon arrival, the front desk experience was disappointing. The staff member appeared occupied on her phone and did not acknowledge us until we had been standing at the desk for some time. During a previous stay, the security deposit was $50; however, this time I was informed that the deposit had increased to $150. I could not find any information regarding this change on the website, in my booking confirmation, or in any pre-arrival communication. When I politely asked for clarification, I did not receive a clear explanation. Regardless of personal feelings, guests should be able to ask reasonable questions and receive professional and informative responses. Additionally, the pool was empty during our stay, and there was no prior notice of this on the website or during the booking process. Had this information been provided beforehand, it would have helped set appropriate expectations. To make matters worse, an additional charge of $11 appeared after checkout, despite the fact that we did not use or consume any items from the room. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency, communication, and customer service throughout this experience left a negative impression. Based on this stay, I do not plan to return in the future."

"I booked this trip spontaneously and after read reviews and I was nervous. Due to its location and age, the hotel was nice. My room was clean and though some items can use a refresh (such as the glass night stand) overall it was a good stay. Elevator was operational the entire time. Chairs and towels provides for the beach are a great touch. It was pretty quiet especially for its location. Staff was helpful and available as needed."
