HOUSE
The newly furnished house sleeps up to 8 adults in its over 4,000 square feet. We can accommodate more guests for an additional fee as outlined below. It features an open floor plan with the family room, living room, dining room, and gaming room all when you walk into the home on the first floor. Complete with a fully equipped kitchen with high-end appliances. The kitchen is stocked with cooking supplies and spices. With one bedroom downstairs and 3 bedrooms upstairs, a private in-home gym, outdoor fire pit, pool, and Jacuzzi our retreat has plenty of space for everyone to get comfortable. The house provides ample space for relaxation and quiet time. Its location is perfect for group getaways and wine-tasting weekends and is extremely family-friendly. We are only about a 15-minute drive to many of the amazing wineries in Paso Robles or 15 minutes to San Luis Obispo. Enjoy the comforts of this luxurious retreat amidst breathtaking surroundings.
BEDROOMS
Zoofari Retreat has 4 bedrooms. With a focus on creating a screen-free retreat, most of the bedrooms are intentionally TV-free, allowing guests to fully disconnect. The beds are adorned with high-end mattresses, luxury sheets, and a choice of down-filled or down alternative pillows. Two pillows per person are provided, and there is plenty of storage available in each room. Enjoy a comfortable and serene stay in these thoughtfully designed bedrooms.
Cabin Fever - 1 Cal King Bed
This is the ensuite downstairs bedroom and bathroom that has a window with a view of the backyard and the pool area. Also included are two nightstands and a dresser for your belongings.
Boho Bliss - 1 Full Bed & Crib
This is our family bedroom that is perfect for kids or a family with an infant or toddler. It has one full Tempurpedic adjustable base bed along with a pack-n-play if needed. There is also a futon/sleeper couch for kids to hang out with along with a TV for them as well. Views of the front of the property, the mini horses, and the rolling hills, it also has a dresser for your belongings.
Safari Sweetness - 1 Cal King Bed
Our Safari en suite includes a bathroom and views of the backyard area. It includes a nightstand and a dresser for your belongings as well as a walk-in closet to hang all your clothes.
Buffalo Bungalow - 1 King Bed
Our Primary ensuite is the grandest of them all, it has ample storage for all your belongings as well as somewhere to sit and relax and a nightstand with a walk-in closet. The included ensuite primary bathroom is large and luxurious. It has a jetted tub along with a grand shower and water closet.
BATHROOMS
We offer three and a half bathrooms in our home, each with plenty of storage and welcoming water pressure. The powder room/half bathroom on the first floor is located in the laundry room and is just a toilet and a sink. Our first ensuite bathroom contains a tub and shower and is also located on the first floor. Our second bathroom contains a tub and shower. The ensuite primary bathroom has a walk-in shower, a jetted tub, and a separate water closet. All our bathrooms have ample space for all guests and you won't have to spend time waiting, especially on vacation.
EXOTIC ANIMALS MEET & GREET EXPERIENCE
When visiting Zoofari Retreat you will be offered a private escorted Ed-zoocational meet and greet to get close up with the animals that we rescued on our property. During this experience, you will be able to interact, pet, and even kiss some of the animals that we have. Here is a list of some of the animals that you may get to see: Zebras, Camel, Zorses (half zebra half horse), Zonkey (half zebra half pony), Zedonks (half zebra half donkey), Zebu, Water Buffalo, Ostrich, Emu, Goats, Mini Horse, Chickens, Turkeys, Ducks, Pigs, Horses. Sometimes our animals are not in the mood to see everyone so you may not be able to experience them all. We also want to remind you that Wild animals are unpredictable and can exhibit sudden and unexpected behaviors, including aggression and defensive actions, all guests who will be experiencing our animals will be asked to sign a waiver. During holidays, the animal experience isn't available. Please plan your holiday schedule accordingly to allow time for this. It's important that guests take responsibility for adhering to this policy. Additionally, tours on your check-out date might be subject to availability based on our calendar and any other bookings we have. To ensure we can accommodate your request, please inquire beforehand before making a booking.
OUTDOOR LIVING
Zoofari Retreat offers an array of spaces for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. With our covered outdoor patio on the back of the house, our front porch with a porch swing, or relaxing on a lounge chair by the pool, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful indoor/outdoor California living! Start your day with coffee on the front porch or gather around the outdoor fire pit to take in the beautiful California weather. The pool and 6-person in-ground jacuzzi/spa offer ultimate relaxation. For grilling enthusiasts, there is a propane barbecue available. Enjoy the serenity of outdoor living, breathtaking views, and the comfort of these amenities at Zoofari Retreat.
POOL & SPA
Pool temperature varies by season, our pool is not heated. Please inquire prior to booking. Pool is usually 80+ between May and October. Swim at your own risk! No lifeguard on duty. Please no service animals or furniture in the water. Pool can be heated during October-May for an additional costs, please inquire before booking. Our spa can be heated during your stay, it takes about an hour to heat up before you can use it, we ask that you notify us ahead of time so we can make sure it can be warm, there is no additional charge to heat the spa during your stay!
Additional guests fee: Zoofari Retreat can sleep more than 8 people, for bookings over 8 the fee will be as following: Kids will be a $35 per night and adults will be an additional $45 for night up to a max of 10 guests including adults and children/infants. Anything outside our max of 10 guests per night will be charged a $300.00 per person fee. Our additional sleeping accommodations are two roll away beds and a couch that is also a sleeper. If you need to add more people onto your reservation please let us know ahead of time.
WILDLIFE & MAINTENANCE
Our home is in a rural setting outside the city limits with large lots and a lot of wildlife. You will often see deer, squirrels, gophers, rodents, reptiles, horses, lizards, and the occasional cow roaming the property and/or surrounding properties. Please do not feed or approach any wildlife. There will be a lot of insects, bugs and other creatures that give the property its wonderful relaxing country feel. We have a regular pest maintenance company and have taken steps to make sure this is a rarity, but open doors and leaving food out can lead them in quickly. While we stay on top of pest maintenance, we ask you to expect that bugs may enter the home when doors are left open, get tracked in on shoes and luggage, and are part of life in the country.
