The stay at Sycuan Casino Resort was top class. The hotel is smoke free, but the casino is not. There is a smoke free area away from the elevators to the smoke free rooms......go figure. The ashtrays are RIGHT outside the elevators to smoke-free rooms. Come one, let's get this together folks!

I stayed at this casino solely to watch a show at the Heritage Event Center. My check in experience with Yusuf was pleasant and without incident. He had a welcoming smile and was very helpful. I cannot say the same with the staff at the event center, particularly at the end of the show. They were rude and “shooed” us out while we were still taking photos inside the auditorium. In addition, we later found out that the reason the performers didn’t do an encore as requested by the audience, was because they were told that they had to end the show exactly on time, that the lights on the stage will be turned off, which was what happened. I have never heard of such an atrocity! I can understand if there was another show after. What a total disappointment. I must say the staff at the reception desk need to smile and be friendly & more welcoming to the guests. After all, they are the first people the guests encounter. Their behavior sets precedent to what the guests’ impression will be on their stay. The location of the property is also inconvenient, and not easily accessible to other establishments.
