Bella worst stay

Pros: The only thing I liked was the waiter (Hispanic) very attentive and nice .
Cons: Staff were very terrible , they make you feel you are not wanted there.
Location: The location is terrible you had to drive to go somewhere.
I had the worst stay ever . I booked 2 rooms 1 for me and my husband and 1 for my kids. When I got there to check in it was 4:00 pm and room wasn't ready . I asked to be close to the main pool with music and the gentleman said if I wait an extra hour that I was gona get rooms close to the pool. So he made me come back to give me the rooms dirty and all the way in the back close to a dead pool that nobody goes to . Staff we're not courteous . They don like Hispanic Americans in this hotel . I will go back to hard rock which I give them a 10 plus.

I was taken back in time

The overall vibe was amazing! We are already planning a trip back. It's a party, but not too crazy like Vegas. A very creative feel, friendly artistic crowd

Cool place to kick back

Pros: Free Internet
The Ace was an extremely relaxing place to stay. We were there for a week, and most of our preconceived plans for that time frame quickly got replaced with "Ehhh, let's just lay by the pool." The saltwater pool is warm and refreshing, and the spa is great. Be sure to get to the pool early and claim your spot, however, because even though there is a myriad of pool chairs, they get snatched up quick. My only complaint was the price of the drinks and the service at the bar/restaurant. Things move a little slower here, and a can of cheap beer will cost you $6. Don't worry about it though, man. This isn't a place to get frazzled, it's a place to relax. The pool is open from 6am - 2am, and there is something going on every day - be it karaoke, or a DJ dance party. During the weekend, this place is a hangout for hipsters and the pool is packed. During the week, it's much more of a family atmosphere - be it a very cool family atmosphere - but the pool is filled with kids during the week. The beds are huge and the rooms are very trendy, cool, and relaxing. I especially like the polished concrete floors and open glass shower. You can also rent a tandem bike for free and there's wifi available everywhere (be it a little slow). Overall, I would recommend the Ace. Get a 30-pack of Tacate, sneak it into the pool, and you're golden.

My Second Home!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, 2 pools, dog friendly, lgbt friendly
I've stayed at the Ace 4 times now, and it feels like home whenever I'm there, except way better. The style of the place is really cool, the rooms are really nice and stocked with top-notch booze and snacks. There are community fireplaces outside all the buildings, free bikes to ride, and even a dog park (so yes, it's dog-friendly)! I never get tired of the view of the mountains and the palm trees, it's just exquisitely beautiful. There are two good-sized saline pools and a hot tub. The main pool can get pretty crowded on busy weekends when they're having events, but pretty much anytime you go to the Commune pool, there's hardly anybody there and it's really chill. I've had that pool all to myself at night, and sometimes during the day. Both pools are heated to pretty much the perfect temperature for those chilly nights. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant. Really good food and cocktails, and an amazing beer selection. The staff has always been really cool - the female bartenders and waitresses are always calling you sweetie and darlin' and stuff like that. Oh, and of course there's poolside food and drink service, so you get to just lounge by the pool and get waited on all day. I usually go there for Gay Pride weekend, and they're always hosting fun pride-related events. I know they have various other events throughout the year, and it can get pretty noisy and rowdy during those times, so if you want absolute quiet, maybe this isn't the place for you. During off-season it's pretty quiet though. I really don't have a bad thing to say about this place, and I can't wait to go back.

I love the Ace

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
We went here off season which was just what I needed so the hotel was peaceful, quiet and relaxing. I love the attention to detail and the simple modern elements used in the design. Everything was done with a creative, cool purpose that fit so well with this earthy, Bohemian, modern simplicity synonymous w Palm Springs. From soft canvas tarps used for the duvet, wall coverings to the simple light bulbs and warm industrial elements it feels simple yet elegant and cool. The pool was fantastic on a quiet day...did have to deal w some loudness as the hotel attracts the party types...but the commune pool is an option if you want mellow w/o the riff raff. I will be back.
