Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late June, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Guests are advised to check local weather and road conditions/closures with the California Department of Transportation before travel.

The layout of the hotel is like a maze. Walls are paper thin. Other guests were so rude and inconsiderate - one literally sat on the table where my husband was eating a sandwich, others did not return snowshoes as required. Jackalopes gave my husband and I food poisoning. The “hot”tub was cold

ROOM, On our fist morning of stay and large amount of snow fell from the roof and popped the sliding glass door to our room off the track, letting cold air into the room. Employees from Tenaya relived the pressure from the slider but didn't fix the door and said they would come back the next day while we were out, and attempt to fix the issue. Then on our last night of stay, more snow let loose from the roof... and because the slider wasn't fixed from the incident two days prior, the slider broke off of the track and snow came into our room.

We liked the size of room. But the strong sanitizer smell in the room was there the entire time two nights we were there. The bed definitely needs to be changed out, you could feel the slump on the each side of the bed. Otherwise it was clean and enjoyable. Fairly quiet for the most part. We had a view of the driveway but it still was on the quiet side. We enjoyed the included ice skating experience and that there were multiple fire pits to commune around with others. Definitely a family friendly and oriented lodge. We were able to get into the restaurant for dinner for the first night which happened to be valentines and it was busy. They were using an overflow dinning area adjacent to the Jackalope bar and Grill. It did take a while for our drinks to come and then quickly after was appetizers and dinner to follow with dessert. Food was decent.

We stayed at four locations during our roadtrip from Vegas to the Redwoods, and this was by far our favorite. This was a beautiful property, and was about a 15-minute drive from the Wawona entrance of Yosemite. There were a lot of amenities and it was child friendly, although it would have been just as enjoyable without a child. We stayed in the Timberloft cabins, which felt like a cabin in the woods even though it was actually more of a townhouse concept. We didn’t have great weather conditions and we are not from a mountainous, cold weather climate, but I called and spoke to Trista more than once on the way in and she provided very helpful information that helped ease my concerns. She then provided a lot of useful information about the park and hotel amenities once we got there. Playpens are available for small children. Great stay!
