2nd time here, brought kids this time even after finding a cockroach in our room last time. The Hotel; under construction, they warn you, wasn’t bad. Reserved "ocean view" room. Very disappointed. Feels like because we went thru Travelocity & not them directly, we were put at the furthest end room from the ocean, had a sliver of a view, feels like we got shafted. Our view was a trashy rooftop. We met people staying at the hotel who said they LOVED their new room & the update. We obviously got an old room. So, it was disappointing to hear. Room’s much smaller than last time, & had 4 of us this time, very crammed. Never enough towels, door under sink fell off the 1st time we used it (told staff, no one fixed it). Floors were very dirty, our comforter had stains, which they just kept remaking. Hair dryer’s stored in bathroom sitting on towels so beware to not have it fall on you & bruise your toe like mine. Faucet on the bathroom sink was falling apart. Many things in the room looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Took pics but there’s nowhere to post them. We were very excited to eat at the busy Beach restaurant again with an amazing menu. Things have changed. Restaurant was bought by the hotel; menu has like 15 items to choose from & very small portions for the cost (Hotdog = $16). It's no longer busy. They changed the pier, made it 'commercialized', can rent fishing stuff. Pool was great! Staff was amazing! Won’t be back for a 3rd, unfortunately.
