It was a hub for prostitution and drug dealers. The rooms on both sides were occupied by noisy “servants” all night. Thank goodness we had plenty of day trips. Our room and clothes reeked with the smell of second hand cannabis. Shame on Travelocity for even listing the Garden Inn as an option.

What more could I ask for for the price..fast clean easy, no fuss. Decent breakfast ice cold ac. Filtered water bottle fill, Exactly what we needed as base camp to drive to the keys.

Great location for travel to Key West. Clean large room with comfortable beds and lots of pillows. Got better room as per my request as initial room had some problems. Spent 4 nights and yes I would sleep here again. Nice eggs and waffles with yogurt at breakfast. Male reception person could be more friendly and have better manners as I expected apology for room problems but didn't receive it. Other staff very friendly.

Caution: steer clear of this place! It shouldn’t even be considered a budget motel. While the exterior may appear appealing, the interior is a nightmare. The electrical outlets are so old and worn that nothing stays plugged in, the door barely latches and requires slamming to close, the beds are worn out and uncomfortable, and the hot water and pressure are unreliable. The front desk is unresponsive, and we experienced a random overflow from the toilet that flooded our room. Now, about the front desk receptionist: she was rude, dismissive, and condescending. When I approached her to explain our situation, she coldly replied, “I’m not housekeeping, and there’s no one on duty. There’s nothing I can do for you.” I even requested towels to address the flood, only to be told they had none. As a result, we had to sleep in a flooded room with two upset children. This staff member showed no concern for our predicament. You’d be better off spending a few extra dollars at the Wyndham—Travelodge in Homestead, where Mr. Sunny Patel, the owner, takes pride in his establishment. The parking lot is clean, the rooms are immaculate, and the bathrooms sparkle. Avoid the Garden Inn at all costs.

We had two rooms. One was definitely better than the other. Do not take a room that is carpeted! There were bugs on the bed and bugs on the counter bugs on the door in the bathroom. Housekeeping came in and sprayed the room but did not change our room. I think there was also a language barrier with housekeeping. Less than an hour after the room was sprayed, the bugs were crawling on the counter again. Later that night we were switched to a different room. After that the trip was a little better. Breakfast was quite disappointing as the only thing out were boiled eggs and muffins. Breakfast crew could not keep up with the flow of customers. Next time I will stay somewhere else. Quite disappointing! The hotel cat was pretty cute though!
