Excellent hotel and great value for money. Check in experience was really good and staff so helpful when we couldnt get aircon to work (user error, lol). Room was big by london standards, very clean, has a fridge with complimentary water and a brilliant bathroom. Very close to bus routes but 10 or 15 mins to underground. 20 mins walk to Tower of London. Small Sainsbury's next door. Would definitely recommend.

Appearances very deceptive from outside. Lovely little place, staff very helpful and polite. Room 609 lovely the sights outside our bedroom especially at night were wonderful. Comfy beds and room really nice and spacious. Only thing that lets it down is not having a bar especially for guests to have a wee tipple or a night cap. I booked our room for slightly central and the price. It was alright but next time might take taxi fares into consideration and upgrade nearer. Overall it was a great experience.

The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke, which seemed to be entering through the bathroom air vent. I reported this on the day of arrival, but nothing was done. The hotel was busy, so I understand they may not have been able to move me to another room. What was worse, though, were the bed bugs. I developed bites on my back and didn’t realise they were from the hotel until the itching and swelling got worse after I left. The bites could only have come from the hotel, as I haven’t been anywhere else in the last six months except home. Because of these two issues, everything else about this hotel is irrelevant to me.

Staff amongst the friendliest you’ll find anywhere in London. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel very welcome. Special shout out for Vasile. Hotel’s in a great location for neighbourhood shops and restaurants. Rooms are a little tired and could do with updating but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Great location, very nice room, breakfast was very nice, good variety. Staff friendly. Although I was greatly disappointed during breakfast which is self service. The lady who was employed in the dining room was extremely inefficient at her job, the cereal was not stocked up, bread had not been replaced, simple touches that were essential at breakfast, she really couldn’t be bothered. She was there two mornings, our last morning there was a different girl working who was excellent at her job. Very disappointing when staff can’t be bothered.

Great location, but the hotel is in a shameful state of disrepair. Lifts are old, public spaces are shabby. Comes across as more of a budget hotel. Stains on carpet and curtains, marks and scuffs on walls, scratches on tables, chunks of bathroom wall missing, mismatched and outdated cheap furnishings. Staff were helpful with a late checkout (which we didn't use as didn't want to stay a minute longer than necessary) but the £25 card hold for contactless deposit (as opposed to £1 for physical card) seemed disproportionate and staff were unable to adequately explain why this discrepancy existed. The Premier Inn and Travelodge around the corner are in better condition. Just don't stay here.
