One of the best aspects of this hotel is its location. It is near the Gloucester Road station and several museums. The hotel itself was average. It was a bit dated and carpet stains were visible. The room was adequate. The bed was good, and there was a desk and a television. The shower was quite good, but the bathroom didn't have a place to put products, which is my habit when taking a trip. I did not see a luggage rack. There was not a refrigerator in the room and I also didn't see an ice maker.
My rating is not higher is due to the following issue. On the first day of my stay, I reported to the front desk that the air conditioning in my room didn't appear to be working. Someone from the front desk came up to check and then went back to the desk. I then received a phone call in my room from the other staff member at the front desk. She stated that the maintenance staff who would need to look at the air conditioning unit to fix it were not there that day, but could come tomorrow to fix it. She stated that I would be given at 20% refund on the first night of my stay and that a fan could be brought to my room. I accepted this, and I was brought a fan. The air conditioning unit was fixed the next day and worked for the remainder of my stay. I prepaid with Travelocity, so I contacted them after returning home to ask about the partial refund. I was told they tried but weren't able to get a refund approval from the property manager. I emailed the hotel twice and received no reply.
