We were very disappointed in our room. Went to look out the window and the hotel is under renovation. Outside our windows it was piled high with junk and couldnt even see the street. They messed up our room with a friend's room. Gave him the king (he is single) and us the single bed (married couple). Asked for another room and they said they could not accommodate that. The walls were dirty in the single room. We traded with our friend. Would never stay there again. Do have to say the breakfasts were very good!!!

If you value communication, steer clear of this hotel. I attempted to reach them multiple times due to flight delays, late check in and then canceling the reservation because we did not make it to London. I never got any response!!! Expedia reached out to try and get a refund or a credit for the missed days at another time and they didn’t respond to them in a timely manner and then would not offer any compensation. Very poor customer service!

Great Staff but Double Room - No Windows!!

We had 2 rooms, our twin room was of good quality, our double room was in the lower basement with no windows. We paid more for the double room and received a room that was not suitable. Reception staff were great though, very helpful and very friendly.

The property is in the process of being renovated. The refurbished rooms are excellent and the staff very friendly. Plenty of choice for breakfast. We have booked again for our next London trip.

Summary of Key Issues: Poor front desk attitude when we arrived slightly before check-in time Luggage storage appeared disorganized and unsafe We were issued two different rooms already occupied by other guests One incident involved a naked guest, which was extremely inappropriate and distressing for our young grandchild Room was clean, but the hallway was very noisy due to inconsiderate guests No phone in the room, forcing us to use our own mobile and international credit to call for help — with no answer Breakfast was sparse, poorly managed, and not delivered even after a long wait No follow-up or compensation from hotel management despite multiple complaints Expedia advised that no refund would be given, which added to our disappointment Final Thoughts Although the hotel’s location is good and the room we eventually stayed in was clean, these are basic expectations — not bonuses. What really matters in hospitality is how a hotel treats its guests, handles mistakes, and ensures safety, privacy, and service — especially when families and children are involved. This hotel failed at nearly every level of guest care. We encountered multiple service breakdowns and a complete lack of urgency or responsibility from management. I would strongly discourage families or solo travelers from staying here unless significant changes are made to how rooms are managed and how guests are treated.

Great location

Location is great, walkable to transport and local shops/restaurants/parks. Rooms very compact but well designed. Towels need upgrading, very small and thin. Would stay again in king exec room or above. Bathroom (including toilet area) was very tight. Check first if an issue.

Great location, pleasant staff, 1 star otherwise

Great location for Hyde Park. Advertise new rooms but I stayed in both a Mezzanine and Family room. No sign of any recent decor. In fact small, dated, cramped. Staff friendly.

Think micro living

Very pretty and modern room, but tiny! Would be ok for a 1 night stay. We stayed in a room with a double and single bed. There was an awkward support wall between the two, so not much space to move around. The bathroom was tiny and water from the sink or shower would end up everywhere. The corridors are so narrow and the lifts tiny, so walking with a compact stroller and a suitcase was challenging. No basics like face cloth, cotton face pads, etc. which we needed as we packed light. Also no phone in the room - you what’s app reception but sometime don’t get a response for hours. Good proximity to train stations, Kensington park, restaurants and grocery stores. Overall very pretty but too small for longer stays.

Terrible hotel, we booked 2 rooms of which room 1 had sofa & room 2 didn’t. No charger points at bed. No AC even with temperatures above 30 degrees. TV wasnt Visible when in bed. Bathroom was very basic & tiny. Asked for ironing facilities & was given a very wobbly table which didn’t have much height hence had to bend down. There was some was construction work going on & could her hear loud banging & drilling starting before 8am. On our last day the only lift that worked we was supposed to take us a level up, went half way jerked & fell down to the bottom & which was very scary & no lights. We pressed the alarm button but no one came. Eventually the door opened with lift not fully on ground but management didn’t seem bothered.

the room i thought i booked was not the room i got. the photos are from what they are supposed to look like after the construction is done but inside was horrible. it was a room straight out of an 1980s hotel. it was super hot, not working AC, the tv didnt work either, super small room even for european standards and it just left me in a general feeling of being unsafe.

The location of the hotel was excellent- right across from Kensington Park and 2 block over from the high street, and had good access to transport. Room for 3 also had good semblance of privacy. Hotel room had just been renovated so it was very clean with in room coffee & tea. Bed was quite hard and there was no where to put clothes: few hangers in the open closet, no drawers, no hooks and only 1 chair in a room that slept 3.

Convenient location.

Building is under renovation. Construction starts early. Our room had not yet been updated. Bathroom was quite cramped. One of the lifts was out of order. Very convenient to the Tube, Kensington Gardens, and the V & A. Restaurants and stores nearby.

Avoid these guys like a plaque. Nash the hotel manager is untrustworthy. He lies makes false promises and doesn’t keep to them. They also don’t abide by their obligations and almost certainly charge you as soon as you book. They also misrepresent the size of the room and bed. If you want to sleep in - think again because construction works start on the building before 9 am it goes on the whole day. Majority of the building is wrapped in scaffolding which they don’t inform you about. Stay away
