I have never been in a hotel that requires the guest to request room cleaning. We called for extra towels and received them 2 hours later. There was only one concierge employee checking in and redeeming parking tickets. We had to wait 45 minutes in line to have our ticket validated. I will no longer book at The Downtown Grand Hotel.

It was an amazing property right by Freemont Street. It is a bit of a hike to the strip and has some sketchy characters around the property. My main complaint is how early the pool closes. But overall a good location.

One of the beds was sunked in and it also smelled like smoke in the room, specially when i got out the shower. And the lady at the front desk was really rude when i checked in. There was also a place on the hallway where the floor was sunk and i almost fell. But the hotel was pretty quiet. I guess for the price its 2/5. Wouldnt stay again.

The room was dirty. We arrived and there was stuff splattered all over the curtains and walls, fries on the floor behind the nightstand and fake fingernails on the floor.

Rooms were nice size with good beds. The open shower with no door is not smart. Partnership with The George not smart. It is upscale and the Grand is not. They do not do lunch weekends. KEEP $5 LIMITS ALL DAY MONDAY AND TUESDAY. I went to get a players card three times. They were on break twice and once told me they had other work to do firsts and I would have to wait. Meaning I could not use their matched bet until they were done. Most staff was very nice. Pool was large and had a nice big TV poolside. Very cool.

I have stayed at Downtown Grand several times, and will stay here again. It has a good location, a block from Fremont St but not right on it. Good value. Rooms are nice but not spectacular. Great staff, everyone is helpful and friendly. But it is noisy. The bands and other events on Fremont are super loud, and that sound gets channeled up 3rd Ave to the hotel. On Friday and Saturday nights, music is played at the pool area, and it is super loud as well. The sound quality gets distorted by the time it reaches the room, and all you hear is bass and drums. Next time I stay here, and I will, I will request a room in the back of the building.
