We usually only write positive reviews, but never would have booked this house - especially for the premium price we paid, had the owner been honest.This might not matter to everyone, but I asked if there were blackout window treatments so that we could be sure to get good sleep…Jeanine replied, “We do have blackout window treatments for good sleep. You’re all covered :) “None of the bedrooms had blackout shades - they had blinds that essentially were for privacy, not sleep.The shades in the king bedroom were vertical shades and had missing pieces.We paid almost double the average cost per night because of the holidays and were told something that wasn’t true.The pool was great and the air hockey table was fun.The house wasn’t well maintained - there were patches on the walls in different rooms, one of 2 toilets wasn’t working well, the front door code was funky…minor things that added up to not make the house feel special to be in…and sometimes stressful to be in.This was our 7 night vacation with our 4 kids and we couldn’t wait to leave. So disappointing and we felt taken advantage of because we were stuck and in someone else’s house.We hope that future “guests” have a better experience, which is why we are writing about our experience here.The owner told us that she was giving us a 5 star review - we told her about our experience to see if she would make an adjustment so that the price per night felt more fair. We didn’t hear back from her :(
